This will replace my bass amp!
This is a fantastic little unit. Compact with lots of great features. I am using this for bass, but they also make a different unit specifically for guitar. This has everything I need for live performances with options to line out to an amplifier and balanced XLR out to a PA system. I will be using both outputs, to an amplifier and speakers on stage and using the XLR direct to the PA, but if I wanted to, I could skip the stage amplification and rely in stage monitors. This unit has nine models of popular bass amplifiers and eight Impulse Response (IR) speaker cabinet models of popular bass cabinets. The cabinets are almost all modeled after 4x10 cabinets, but there is one 2x10 and one 4x12.There are two modes, preset and live. There are factory presets, but you can edit them and create your own. There are 4 channels and 8 banks, so you can have up to 32 presets. You cannot change parameters in preset mode, so if you change the amp model or IRs or any of the levels, while in preset mode, no changes will be made and you will not here any difference in sound. While in live mode, you can change parameters, switch between amp models and change IRs. This is great if you need to edit parameters while performing (or any time). If you have all your sounds programmed and you don't want/need to change them, then when they are saved as presets, you can use the channel and bank foot switches to change between your presets.Built-in Effects/Utilities:TunerNoise GateCompressorModulation: Chorus, Phase, Pitch ModulationSpace: Reverb, DelayHeadphone jack1/8 in. output for connecting recording devices (the description says "phone" but none of my phones have this type of connection anymore)Connect to devices using BluetoothUSB-C connection. Charge or connect to a computer through USB C and edit presets.Rechargeable batteries. No need for a power supply and extension cords cluttering up the stage. This has rechargeable batteries so it can be charged prior to a gig and then used, powered by the batteries for up to 12 hours. This unit has a power switch, which many similar products seem to be missing. I appreciate having this switch and being able to turn the unit off. So many similar units don't have a power switch and I usually connect them through a power strip so that I can control when they are on or off. I suppose it is because it is powered by batteries and does not require external power once the batteries are charged.

Great battery powered effects unit!
Ok, I love the fact that this unit has a built-in rechargeable battery! This makes for a very versatile piece of gear that doesn't need a 9v battery or power from a pedal board. It uses a standard USB-C plug (included). It also communicates via bluetooth with the M-EFCS app to allow complete control from your phone or tablet. You can even dial in the colors of the knobs and footswitches from the app to suit your mood and style! But how does it sound? I dig the sounds I get from this thing. The compression is tight and punchy, the chorus adds a wide, thick layer and with the amp modeling I can dial in a tone based on some of the most popular bass amps in existence. For the price of one effect you get several, along with a lightshow, BT connectivity, and on-board rechargeable battery. What's not to love?

Not that useful of a pedal
I have the guitar version of the pedal and I gave it a higher rating because it has slightly more useful tone. The bass version, unfortunately, is not that useful. I find that all of the “amp” tone on this pedal is very harsh and doesn’t have good overdriven tone. For a higher gain tone, the bass needs something a bit warmer in order to not take away from the low end content. However, the grainy nature of the overdriven tone overpowers to low end frequencies and makes the playing attack sound quite harsh. The tone stack of the amp section didn’t quite make things sound better. I would rather that the delay section be replaced by a multi band EQ. Often times bass, as an instrument, doesn’t really need the delay effect. This pedal would have been much more useful with a multi band EQ so you can sculpt your tone a make the “amp” sound less harsh.

great multi effects for bass
my son is a bass player so he was into checking this out. he connected and tested it mostly with his bass amps going straight in. there were definitely bass presets that he liked more than others. i feel this unit would be best put through it's paces with a frfs speakers so you can really hear the nuances of the different cab, amps and effect. very well made. nice that it's battery powered so you can take it on the go. small form factor too which also contributes to the portability.

Cool Pedal with Lots of Features and Capabilities
The media could not be loaded. I need to start this review with a disclaimer. I am old school bass player who likes a nice clean sound. I am not much for using a pedal with my bass.Having said that, this M-VAVE TANK B Pedal seemed pretty cool, so I ordered it from Amazon. It seems to be well made with a sturdy aluminum case. The controls work smoothly and the jacks give a nice secure feel when the cords are plugged in.The TANK-B has standard 1/4-inch input and output jacks. There is also a 1/8-inch headphone jack which would allow you to use the pedal for practice through your phones. There is another 1/8-inch jack described as an “Audio output jack” which “supports mobile phone recording” according to the instructions. Finally, the pedal has an XLR out jack, which allows you to use the pedal as a preamp to connect directly to the house sound board.Another nice feature is that this pedal has an internal rechargeable battery, eliminating the need for a separate power supply. The maker claims that it has a 12-hour battery life which should be more than ample for most gigs. The battery is charged by the now ubiquitous USB-C jack and it can be charged while in use.I first tried this pedal out with headphones and was impressed by the tone and the quantity of sounds that I could get. This pedal does so much that I am not going to try and give a thorough description of its full capabilities in this review. You just have to try it to see for yourself.Suffice it to say that I had fun with this pedal and plan to plug it into my amp so that I can annoy my wife with it.
