Excellent option for OEM replacement on 2013, XC60
Replaced the broken part in my 2013 XC60. Works as expected after a year still. Spend the extra money and get a part that has better reviews. I read reviews on other far cheaper replacements and I am glad I went with this one.

Very reasonable option for your Volvo
So my 2011 Volvo S80 had the radiator cooling fan running after engine shutdown. I am a dual certified master mechanic so right away I knew the fan module took a crap. Dealer OEM parts wants you to replace the whole fan assembly >>$$$<<. I took a chance on this unit.Worked perfect, installed and ran car. On A/C activation fan came right on, and during road test in 90 degree weather it cycled on and of as designed. One note, if you attempt to install this yourself you will need a tool to get the screw off the fan housing. Look it up.

NEVER BUY AUTO PARTS FROM AMAZON!
This $150.00 plus part failed within 6 weeks. I contacted Gates Automotive Parts through their website (because there is no way to handle warranties or contacts via the Amazon website that I could find) and was told Amazon handles the warranty. When I finally figured out how to check for warranty replacement I was told there is no warranty. This is the second time I've been burned on a part ordered through Amazon (shame on me I guess). Never again! If Amazon paid a fraction of the time they spend advertising on customer service and support they would truly be a great retailer. As for Gates, I thought they were a good company. Instead of handling a bad unit and maintaining a customer, I was sent a link to a complicated claims process. What a crock!

It worked for me
I need this as my radiator fan wouldnt turn of on my Rang Rover. I hooked it up to my scan tool and did some research and found this sensor was probably bad. It took a very long time to get delivered but I have another car so I waited. At the dealer was 200 dollars more. I waited for it, put it in, less than 30 minutes, car is fixed.

Fix nonstop fan issue
Bought a refurbished one to fix 2012 S80 nonstop fan issue. Someone were worried about possible fraud return since the big difference btw gates and other aftermarket. Checked a clear part number like the picture shown. 10min installed. Problem solved. Let’s see how long it lasts.

Works when installed on my 2012 S80
Driving home on a road trip I noticed my cooling fan for my 2012 S80 wasn’t shutting off. Diagnosing it would come on the second any power was applied to the battery terminals ruling out ECU for the most part. This saved a bunch vs buying the $600 fan assembly…Was very easy to install with a ratchet and Phillips head and cutters a zip tie.Not liable if it doesn’t but since this worked on my S80 it should work on many 08-14 Volvos and a host of other ford related vehicles from the time… Amazon said it wouldn’t fit but back checking FCM108 with gates it’s the correct part.

Engine coolant
The part is a good part but not the part I was looking for. It was the wrong part.

Direct Fit
So far, so good. I preferred this brand over the cheaper knockoffs. No complaints. Did install a Lufi OBD reader to keep an eye on my coolant temps. No issues.
