I think this is a perfect inexpensive case for my new Sony Walkman. I really like the clear plastic feel. All the ports and buttons are covered except for the hold button, headphone jack, and the lanyard. The charge port has a removable flap. It also comes with a screen protector, which is nice to have but I didn't use. I prefer glass screen protectors so I brought one separately. It's always nice to have a backup, so no complaints from me.Let's see how this case lasts the test of time, but right now I'm loving it.

This case is pretty much what I needed I have the rubber cover and I didn’t like that one because of the dust and it does not protect my Sony Walkman so I bought this item and it fits perfectly and it is very durable just note this will not protect from dropping it’s just a case for protecting from scratch and dust.

I like that this case had a charging port cover, it slid over the Walkman easily and will protect the shell from scratches as well as keep dust out of the charging port. Mine shipped with a soft screen protector and a wrist lanyard, both are nice additions to this product. Well worth ordering.

idk about drop test but this is decent enough to keep my device safe.

It is good to prevent scratches towards the device directly. it is what it is as explained in the description.

This is a good quality, visually appealing clear case for the Sony A40 and A30 series. Made of a flexible, clear plastic (they call it "soft"), it is different from silicone in that it has a glass-like clarity. The case comes in a single piece and is simply stretched into place around the player. The case covers the entire back of the player, its four sides, and then a slight amount around the edges of the front of the player. As a bonus, two protective screen covers are provided, as well as a short hand strap which can be attached to the Sony's hand strap mounting near the plug socket at the bottom of the player. Although I cannot speak to the quality of the two screen protectors because I use the incredibly high-quality IVSO protector ( IVSO Sony Walkman NW-A30 Tempered-Glass Screen Protector, Premium HD Clear Screen Protector for Sony Walkman NW-A30,NW-A40,NW-A47,NW-A45,NW-A46HN,NW-A45HN ), I have no reason to believe there is any problem with them, and, at any rate, it is nice to have two backup protectors. The case also has a somewhat unique feature (which you can see in the product photo if you look carefully) in that there is a hinged cover for the Sony electrical connector (called a "WM-PORT" in Sony parlance) at the bottom of the player: when you need to connect the player via USB, you just pull the flap open to allow the USB cable to be attached, and when done, remove the cable and just push the flap closed. The "door' itself is molded (again, look carefully at the photo) so that it fits into the Sony-style electrical connector socket, helping keep the door in place and also protecting the electrical contacts. This feature also allows the case to maintain a flat look when the door is closed (i.e., there is nothing "sticking out" when the door is closed, but rather a flat surface that conforms to the overall shape of the case).When the soft case is mounted on the Sony A30 or A40 series player, it shows the beautiful color of the player, and actually enhances the look with the glass-like look. Sometimes this type of material can yellow over time, but we will only know this after about a year or so. And although I would not plan on dropping the player from a high distance, I imagine the softness of the material offers some limited protection due to its softness and coverage. Added to this is the case's very inexpensive cost, and you have an easy Five-Star item. This is the case Sony itself should have been making for years for all their players. Highly recommended.

Exactly what I needed, has a nice fit and port cover (hope it stays on) and screen protector and and strap work well.
