The controller for my roller garage door failed. This seemed a very reasonably priced replacement. It’s prewired for uk mains. It was just a simple matter of swapping it over. I cut the wires where they went into the old controller, leaving about 10mm of wire in the connectors to identify which wire went where. Removed the old controller, then fixed the new one to the wall. Referring to the old controller wires, it’s a simple matter of connecting the motor and safety edge. Took about 20 minutes and works perfectly. The remote controls are pre-programmed. If the door moves in the wrong direction when operating the remote, simply swap the 2 motor wires round. Easy! Update after a month. So pleased with this unit! An added bonus is the sliding cover over the buttons on the remote which prevents accidental opening. The remote for my previous unit had no cover so, if the remote was in my pocket whilst jobbing about, the garage door would suddenly open if I bent down or leaned against something, which was annoying. No such problem now.

My previous controller was faulty. Bought this as a direct replacement. While it is the cheapest suitable unit I could find, the build is of good quality, particularly the key fob remote switches. It was easy to install for anyone who can wire a plug. Simply a live, neutral and earth for the power source, and then to the motor an earth, common, up and down link. The diagram has the up and down around the wrong way but otherwise worked fine out of the box without needing to program the remote fobs. My previous unit did have a light and a security alarm but as I didn’t really need these features I elected for this controller. So I am very pleased having fixed my door in about 15mins for just over £50. It would have cost £££’s had I called out an engineer. Thoroughly recommend.

The new controller replaced an older Neco unit that failed. Instructions were aimed at the professional installer so I struggled a bit. Eventually all worked but initially no response from the unit when I pressed the manual buttons. I hadn’t time to examine then but 5 days later it worked, very puzzling. I then thought I might have problems pairing the fobs but found this had already been done.

I replaced a 4 year old Birkdale controller that had failed (Birkdale have gone into administration and Costco wouldn’t honour the warranty) Really easy to swap and was in and working within 10 mins. I’m going to do some security testing of the keyfob system and will report back here with results.

Bought this to replace original control unit. It worked straight out of the box. Installation instructions easy to follow. Took me about 30minutes to remove old unit, and, instal new unit.
