Very easy reading, right to the point, much information.

I read this book twice. Reading it more than once made a world of difference for fresh eyes. This is a good read for someone who is a complete novice to living trusts. The information is very introductory and easy to follow. I found myself stopping and google-ing more details about certain topics due to the author not going into depth. Overall, I feel I have a pretty good understanding on the aspects and benefits of establishing a living trust.

This is truly a book that everyone can benefit from having to better understand how to prepare for end of life affairs. Garrett Monroe did a beautiful job of discussing the necessary steps that someone should take in regards to maintaining his or her affairs with designating someone as a trustee, and a beneficiary of accounts to avoid the hassles and headaches of going through probate court. I love that the author discussed in great depth money, savings, investments, and how gifts have to be accounted for and leaving someone in charge of these assets is a huge responsibility. Next, I love how Garrett Monroe talked about both the beneficiary and the trustee learn, and understand each roles to lessen the burden of confusion when taking care of someone’s final affairs. This book is a great to have to be mentally prepared, and be equipped to move forward with planning a retirement and other important financial affairs.

I’m only part-way into it but so far it’s accessible for a non-expert and presents information in a simple but thorough way.
