Fantastic boot loader for PlayStation 5 fighting games for your board with EXT. plug-in port
This is a great boot loader for your controller with EXT port for play station five fighting game compatibility. It is quite affordable and its small size signature is great. Took off one star because it will not work with all games on PlayStation 5 mainly just the fighting games. So, if that is all you need it for then this is the absolutely perfect boot loader for you.

Extremely good and zero delay
This is going to be a very informative review so prepare for a lot of reading if you wish to read it all.I have a Haute42 R16 Black Version and since it’s obviously not compatible with ps5 natively, I needed the booter5 so I could actually use my leverless at locals or on my friends ps5 because I’m on pc so I never have to worry about its connectivity because it’s just plug and play on pc. Surprisingly it’s actually really good. It’s a lot better than the magicboot from mayflash and the brook fgc. The booter5 is extremely small and comes in a small plastic carrying case protected by a nice blue foam cushion. It’s stays somewhat “flush” against the edge of my R16 and there is zero input delay(tested on both ps4 and ps5). If you have a Brooke fgc 1 or 2 adapter and use it on any Haute42/Cosmox leverless, it’s super annoying to have a long adapter just hanging off the side of the controller and if you try to use the adapter as intended(by putting it at the end of your cable instead of the usb passthrough) it adds more input delay (and that’s why on the instructions on most if not all haute42 leverless controllers it recommends you to only use the usb passthrough for converters). Now, I had this problem with my leverless and booter5 and if this happens to you, don’t be alarmed. So when you get your booter5 and try to put it into the usb pass through on your leverless, what happened to me and from what I heard from a lot of people, it might take a lot of uncomfortable force just to get the adapter in. If you’re are scared from this or alarmed by it, don’t be. Just make sure nothing is bent such as the usb socket and the booter5 usb itself, and then when you’re sure you’re good, just put the adapter in the usb passthrough with enough force to make sure it’s really connected. So if you’re scared of taking it out multiple times to the point of messing up the adapter or your controller, it’s recommended to just leave it in the controller instead of taking out but only if you primarily play on PS5/PS4 and not pc. The adapter has a mini led on it to indicate when it’s connected/working properly. When first connected it starts to blink. When it is working the light stops blinking and stays solid, indicating that the conversion is working (which happens on ps5/ps4) but on pc, the light continues to blink indicating that it’s not doing anything, so if you don’t want the led to burn out so quick, just don’t leave the booter5 in your leverless and just use X-input for pc. Before you use the adapter for anything important like a tournament or ranked or even just for casual play, you should first check the settings and drivers of your controller, especially if you’re using the booter5 for a haute42 leverless because haute42 controllers use the GP2040-CE and you want to make sure that it’s software is always up to date and you also want to make sure the usb passthrough is enabled for converters under the ps5 setting. At the time of writing this I’m pretty sure the most recent driver is 0.10.0 or 0.10.2. Drivers are super easy to update and the internal customization is also just as easy. You will need a pc in order to update drivers, customize the screen, change the button mapping, and customize the rgb. But don’t worry it can be any pc, good or bad. It just has to be running windows 10/11 and cannot be a Chromebook. When you hold start before plugging in your leverless to a pc the mini screen on your leverless will show an ip address that you have to type into your search bar on your browser. When you type it in and press enter, it’ll take you to the gp2040-CE website and there, the first thing you’ll see on the main menu screen is the specs of your controller which would be what software it’s running, what your current drivers are, what the newest drivers are and if you’re behind on updates it’ll also ask if you want to update, and more specs I just can’t remember. In the other tabs, it allows you to do what you need such as manually changing the input and enable “use adapter/converter”, customize the display with whatever you want such as a custom picture or if you like seeing your button layout, you can change the layout to whatever you want such as a 14 button layout, 16 button layout, classic 12 button leverless layout, and many more. Once you’re done with everything you needed to change, just reboot your controller and you’re all set to play fighting games on ps4/ps5 with your new Booter5. Anyways, to anyone that needs this or is thinking about buying it, you should, even if you’re a pc player and don’t primarily play on ps4/ps5 nor own either. Honestly, it’s better to have it and not need it than not have it and need it. You never know when you’re going to end up playing on PlayStation whether it’s at a local tournament or a friends house that only has PlayStation and not pc. Hope this helps for anyone who is 50/50 about buying the Booter5!

Works great
Used this with my Haute42 M16 and Mayflash F500 Elite and both worked great. Everything is plug and play with no crazy config needed. Just make sure your fight stick/pad is in the right mode when starting up and that's all you need. Was able to play Street Fighter 6 on my PS5 with no interruptions. Great add on for any fight stick or pad user.

Easy To Use, Works Flawlessly
This Cosmox Booter 5 dongle works exactly as described. Normally, when attempting to use a Haute42 arcade controller on PlayStation, it will time out after 8 minutes. Thanks to this tiny device, that's no longer the case. I used it with a Haute42 U16 leverless controller (GP 2040-CE v7.7), and everything went smoothly. For testing, I played JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle Royale R (PS4) on both PS4 and PS5. I didn't experience any issues, such as lagging or disconnects. Highly recommended!

Works as expected
Works great so far with my Haute42 boards. I no longer need to do any special "key" extraction and just need to have this dongle plugged in to continuously use it on my PS5.
