I am happy to say this tool is much better than I thought, further it's well built, and the blade locks into place. The blades are very, very, sharp and make short work of small task. I'm happy with this tool and hope that it holds up with my use. It's a little bigger, but that's alright because it seems to tough and strong and a great little / lite tool.

I have three Olitans products now. They are all top-notch quality. Scalpel blades are sharp and cheap.I love that it's so light and practical... I can put a wide assortment of different styles of scalpel blades on it. The Ultem has it's cool factor - if you're into yellow plastic. The detent really rockets the blade out. A few drops of mineral oil in the pivot made it drop-shut smooth (yes, drop-shut with an airweight scalpel blade, for real).Both Olitans scalpel knives and the G040 that I bought all shipped dry. They flipped OK as is, but with a just a drop of oil into each bearing, they turn into what they're meant to be. So be sure to lube this up when you get it - just a drop or two on each side of the blade at the pivot will do you. I will be buying more of these as gifts. Just awesome. Thanks Olitans!

Edit: Tried to order a few more of these because of the 60a compatibility, but the two I got do not work with those blades anymore. I've contacted the company asking how I get the compatible knives.It’s a great knife. Beefier handle than most this size and a smooth action. But the best part is that it works with Havalon #60A blades! A much thicker and more sturdy blade for sale on Amazon. The knives of this size I’ve tried won’t take that thicker blade. What a great combo.

Such a good mix between a pocket knife long enough to cut anything and utility knife sharpness, just wish they made serated blades for them.

Liked the idea of a folding scalpel, liked that it came with extra blades, like the price point, ordered it. Knife is light enough for carrying in front pockets of work pants or sweatpant shorts and not really know it’s there. Have broken a few blades in a month or so, but that was to be expected. This thing is tough enough to jam on work (mostly cutting) activies, as well as dumb ideas when at home (dig in dirt, etc). Bearing is still working well as it unfolds with ease and locks quite distinctly; easy to close. Have carried every day since receiving, would purchase again.

Very nice, ghost jade scales could use a bit of smoothing. I'll get around to buffing them out. Love the pocket clip. Locking blade is nice. Looking forward to trying different blade types.
