Works great setup easy

The good - Decent bridge if you just want to control Sonoff Zigbee devices. - Nice and small - Powered from USBC - Has ethernet if you need to hard wire it The not-so good - No open-source firmware yet to support non-Sonoff devices (Try the ESP32 based ZBBridge-P instead) - No power adapter supplied (you probably have spares, but this devices needs one to be dedicated to it) - No support for POE

Nice compact size so easy to hide in the home. Works well with devices.

I bought this for my Sonoff radiator valves and, while you can connect the valves straight to an Alexa echo without the need for a hub, Alexa doesn't show the battery status and theres no way to update the firmware without the eWeLink app. I had a previous hub before (the v3 one) that costs around £20-£30 and it worked well but, I sold it on when i discovered i could connect to Alexa directly. Unfortunately with Alexa, the units tend to go offline frequently so I thought I'd opt for this unit (which is nearly three times the price). Unfortunately the range of this unit is woeful 🙁 unless the hub is in the same room, it doesn't seem to detect the radiator valves and hence they can't be controlled. With the previous version, one hub could reach all the units in all the rooms (both upstairs and downstairs) There's no way i'm buying one of these new hubs for each room at this silly price so I'm returning this and going to go back to the old version of the hub (if I can find it for sale somewhere as Amazon no longer sells it!).

Was having some issues with my Sonoff Bridge-P so thought as I needed to reset and add all the devices again I would upgrade to the Pro Unfortunately none of my 3rd party bulbs, zigbee power relay or smart sockets which all worked perfectly with the pro would connect to the Ultra This rendered the upgrade impossible so I returned to Amazon — it seems that Sonoff have different groups working on their different Zigbee bridges so there is no consistency when it comes to device compatibility It is a shame as coverage on the Ultra seems better and it also supports Matter Update: since writing this I have received huge attention from Sonoff support who have listened to and acknowledged my feedback - they say they are taking it on board and changes could be made in the future Based on this excellent customer attention and feedback from them I have upped my rating to 3 stars The Ultra is an excellent device if you are only connecting Sonoff devices - it is better made and has better signal quality than my existing Pro (also an Ethernet port) - if it supported the same 3rd party devices as the Pro it would be a 5 star review

I thought that I would be able to use this with other Zigbee devices that were not from sonoff. It makes no sense to me to create a protocol standard and then only allow devices from one ecosystem connect? Why? This just means more hubs, more hubs, more plastic... more waste.... Stop this madness..... I do like Sonoff Products and maybe this device could be changed to support other Zigbee devices later or be hacked like so many of their other hubs but why should I have to hack them.... Oh, I'm repeating myself here... Obviously this one got on my goat!.. Got returned in about 2 hours of delivery!

This is a great hub for Sonoff Zigbee devices. The reason why it only gets four stars is because the range is not nearly as good as published on their website. Expect to string many of the Zigbee Minis together to create range.
