Great litter mat actually does what it says and catches the litter so it's not bouncing all over the floor and down the stairs. Feels soft under my feet and, I assume, under my cats paws! Litter does dump out for cleaning, but you can also run the vacuum over it and get most of it out. I bought another brand after this by accident and it was bumpy and hurt MY feet so I cannot imagine a cat liking it. I returned that one and bought another of these. The color choices are nice, and I bought a dark brown one to blend in with my wood floors. Cannot believe I waited this long to get one of these!

The mat is great! We love the green color, it fits perfect with our bathroom. As a cat owner of 10+ years, I have tried all the litter mats out there. They usually end up getting gross because the litter gets stuck in them. I like this option because the holes are big enough for the litter to go through so hopefully long term it works out better than the others I have tried in the past. The reason I say “some manipulation required” is due to the way it is packaged. It came rolled up so when I unrolled it, it was not laying flat and the foam portion seemed puffy and too big for the bottom layer. We ended up laying a towel over it and ironing it and it now lays completely flat! Obviously use a towel so the foam doesn’t melt but it really did seem to do the trick and it was less than a 5- minute process. The other thing is the strong smell of off-gasing when the package is opened - I laid it outside for about a day to release some of the smell and now it’s fine. I would recommend this product!

This is a pretty decent product which eliminates about 90% of the cat litter from scattering throughout the house. I ordered a beige color, and the package was labeled "beige" but inside was a grey mat. I'm keeping it but just be aware this could happen. The biggest problem, which I saw MANY photos of, is the way it is packaged. They seem to all come pretty distorted out of the package and are a real problem to get them to lie flat. I used one reader's comment about using a hair dryer to remove the distortion so that it will lay flat. I laid mine on a hard floor, with honeycomb side up, and used a hair dryer on a small section at a time, placing a heavy book on that area, then moving on to the next area eventually covering the entire mat with heavy books then leaving it overnight to flatten. It worked amazingly well, so just wanted to pass that on. You might not have to return it.

Performance: We use World’s Best Cat Litter, which has a very fine texture and usually ends up everywhere. This mat has made a huge difference — I’d say it captures about 95% of the litter before it leaves the litter box area. It’s not flawless, but it’s by far the most effective mat we’ve tried. Design & Material: The texture is soft yet durable, and our cat doesn’t mind walking on it (a win in itself). The small grooves trap litter effectively without making it hard to clean — a quick shake does the trick. Maintenance: Easy to clean and dries quickly after rinsing. I also appreciate that it doesn’t slide around on the floor. Overall: Not perfect, but a real improvement over other mats. If you’re constantly sweeping fine litter like we are, this one is absolutely worth it.

Really helps keep litter from spreading all over. A must have if you have a cat last a long time and easy to clean.

I'd give 4 1/2 stars if I could. Having read reviews I anticipated some post shipping work. Was shipped folded in 1/2 so the filtering side was bumped up. I folded an old towel over both sides of the unfolded mat and ironed over bumped up portion, pressing down more than side to side. Placed heavy textbook over the heated portion allowing it to cool in place for 1-2 hours. Moved on to next portion. Took a couple of tries. Now have THE BEST litter trapper I've ever used.

No more sweeping up after the cats. This mat collects all the litter my babies track out of the litter box. Easy to clean, and I love them not dragging litter all over the room.

A few other people have complained that it wont lay flat. That is true. i have had for a few weeks now and it does do the job. Its also a good size. But the top grating is like almost 2cm above the base. but in an uneven bulbous way. It just wont go flat for nothing. I tried heating it up a bit with a heat gun and laying wood on it and holding it down until it cooled. I do cosplay stuff so I am familiar with manipulating EVA foam with heat (I think the top is something like EVA foam or the same), But yeah. it wont lay flat. Heat and wood technique definitely helped a ton. But its still kinda bad. It actually looks like it was stretched or something in packing. I doubt it ever will lay flat. i would say this is a good price and it works. but if you have the chance to buy a flat one from a store (not rolled up), then go that route. The top mesh material is a soft rubber foam material (might be EVA, not sure). But it is softer than expected which is nice because I think it might be uncomfortable for kitty to walk on if it was hard rubber. 4 stars because it does the job well. but 1 star loss because no matter what I tried, it wont go flat. and it has not flattened over time even with a littler box sitting on one 1/3 of it. it still lifts up on that side too.

This mat is exactly as described- contains litter, easy to empty, durable. My cat uses it as a resting mat. It is soft to step on and durable.

Does catch litter but fold creases never come out so it doesn't lay flat

Seems like it would be a good mat except it won’t lay flat and the cat won’t walk on it

I liked the idea of it and it did work for quite a bit of what would have been tracked HOWEVER my cats decided it was an extension of the litter box. After 4 tries with ultimately the same outcome, I threw it out. A boot tray would be less costly and easier to clean.

It's smaller than I thought it'd be which is my bad but it's also very hard to get flat. It also seems unevenly sewn. I picked this for the name brand but it kinda seems as good as an Amazon brand one. I've got heavy weights on it over night. Will update if that's gets it flat finally. Update: It's still not flat after having a computer monitor box on top of it overnight. So now I've put the heaviest books I own on top of it to try again for another 24 hours. There is also a clear problem with the manufacturing of this. The top is much larger than the bottom so it doesn't lay flat. Also the problem with this is the honeycomb is longer than the bottom so if the cats step in that area it's just trapping it on the floor which defeats the whole purpose of this thing. I will most likely be returning it if it doesn't flatten out by tomorrow.
