Good music support.
I bought this after seeing a number in use in our orchestra. It is mostly plastic in construction, but seems sturdy in use and easy to adjust. I was, and am suspicious of friction joints on which all the stand movements rely, but since other orchestra members have no problems with these I'm hoping mine will be the same. It is an expensive investment , since ordinary stands are a third of the price, but one has to keep up and this offers a good space for music to spread and to put small objects in the tray under the main music area. I'm impressed so far, and think the investment was worthwhile.

Wow!
This arrived today, on time and very well packaged. This is a quality item. I wasn't expecting such a sturdy, all metal stand,so well made and adjusts perfectly. I'm just waiting for the bag to arrive which should be tomorrow. This is perfect for gigging classical guitar as I wanted a very low stand for that. Most sit between you and your audience but not this one. Also raised up for teaching at home today. There's a clever double shelf for the scores and any pens, tuners, etc underneath. The only quibble is the name - RAT. Surely they could have come up with something better than that! I've had some good metal studio music stands but this is, without doubt, the very best. You will not be disappointed.

Excellent quality and strong
I use this stand permanently set up at home for my music and it's ideal for the purpose. It holds heavy music books without any problem, and stays in position easily. The integral pen tray is very handy as well. Yes, it is more expensive than most other brands but I deem it well worth the outlay as it'll be used almost daily for years to come.

The best stand I have ever owned
Definitely the best music stand for me and you too probably? I have a pile of the old traditional music stands at around twenty quid a pop but they all fail me at one time or another. They are flimsy, poorly designed and constructed, prone to bending and falling over due to a narrow base that can't support the weight of much music before it collapses, especially if you are around a group of other musicians jostling for space. The RAT-69Q13 Jazz music stand is pretty well unbreakable, robust, stable, compact and incredibly quick to erect and collapse, around fifteen seconds will do it! I was put off my the price for some time, finding it hard to both justify the price for just the one stand and wondering if it was a bit of slick marketing. When a friend of mine turned up with one I was totally sold on the thing in a matter of minutes. The rest is history. I am pretty sure that you, like me, will not regret the investment. Oh and I forgot to mention another thing, it has a funky tray below the music ledge where I can store pencils and park my flute, thus saving on the price of yet another separate flute stand. I loose a stand every three months or so :-(

Broken after 5 months
I first brought a RAT stand about 12 years ago and it has never let me down. Unfortunately, my recent purchase doesn’t measure up to the same standard. Broken after 5 months of normal use and the top part falls backwards far too easily. This one, not fit for purpose

Best stand I've ever had
It can be assembled so that the feet are 'the other' side of the stand - no more tripping over! Height & angle both very adjustable & good. Nice to have extra lower shelf for bits & pieces. Overall, a professional stand, albeit not a cheap option!

Big, sturdy, has a little extra shelf for pens and pencils. I don't know how I ever managed without one!

Mein Titel sagt eigentlich schon alles.
