Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë – Classic Gothic Romance Novel | Timeless Literature Masterpiece | Annotated & Illustrated Edition | Best Romance Novel | Gothic Love Story for Fans of Tragic & Passionate Fiction | Original Premium Paperback Complete Edition : Emily Brontë: desertcart.in: Books Review: Review over Wuthering Heights - ┈━═☆ Wuthering Heights ☆═━┈ Blurb ೋ❀❀ೋ═══ • 'In this epic story of love, envy, betrayal and revenge, Heathcliff and Catherine comes together in a romance that destroys them and those around them.' • Wuthering Heights, one of the most famous gothic classic novel in the history, is a story of love, betrayal and revenge as it claims. I admire the book mainly because of the way author, Emily Bronte did write the book. The amazing choice of words, the structure of sentence and figurative language in this book all together give readers a feeling of nostalgia in a unique way. It is a true masterpiece in both literature and classics. More over, the book can improve your vocabulary in a 'wicked way.' There is some unique facts about this book, which I found myself during the reading, and are really weird to others. May be this is how Bronte truly wanted the readers to be feel. Even if you love the book with all your heart, it's pretty hard to like or love some characters, not some, I do hate most of the characters. It's a wonder to myself still how can I love the book. May be the way the author did describe things did capture my mind or enchant it. You would love the descriptions than in any other fiction, though it's quite detailed but not a bit boring. I'm wondering what was the author truly thinking while portraying Heathcliff. Gosh! That's the one we love, hate and love again for all the weird reasons and things he had done in the name of love and revenge. And Catherine, she was talking about Heathcliff like 'Whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same' and marrying Linton. And the gypsy boy, who loved her madly, took a revenge in a way you even can't dream. I mean it when I said you can't even dream it! The book did take a lot of time from me though the book really worth it. Happy reading to all.🤩🤩🤩🤩 Review: Emily knows how to love and how to hate. - The language might be a little too heavy if you aren't used to reading books, especially english classics, though once you get the hang of it, it will be easy. The story itself is memorable. The old novels shows the side of love which is scarcely present nowadays. They are more passionate, more expressive, full of love, hate, anger and more love. Emily's prose is a masterpiece. She could have written trash and i still would have read her. She just captures you and keeps you in her words. You will be asking for more. I have heard that her sisters works are very similar, so if you like this one, definitely go for others. Brontë family has blue blood in writing. Regarding the book's delivery, it arrived in perfect condition. Fingerprint publications uses translations available in public domains, the reason why they are much cheaper than, say, penguin. Still, if you are buying English literature, go for fingerprint if you don't want to splurge a fortune.

C'est the vie!
I don't like Ms. Bronte's style. However, her best piece amongst all her writings. It is quite monotonous but I adore the plot and strikingly enough, admire the character of Heathcliff, but the storyline is sluggish except for the climax. However, on a lighter note, I can forgive several weakness in the novel, weak intertwining of characters, slow, overtly simplified emotive improvisations and other flaws, as per my understanding as it is, afterall written by a woman. nonetheless.

A contemporary classic must to be read for the literary richness it possesses
The 19th century author Emily Bronte, is wildly known for her only novel Wuthering Heights, now labeled as a classic of English literature. Emily died at the age of 30, in the year 1848 due to tuberculosis after a few days of publication of her novel. Mr. Earnshaw, owner of the Wuthering Heights gives shelter to an orphan named Heathcliff who plays roles of both protagonist and antagonist in the novel. He grows up with Earnshaw's children; Hindley and Catherine. After Earnshaw's demise Hindley becomes extremely harsh and aims to destroy Heathcliff but Catherine shares a very strong bond with Heathcliff and provides him moral strength to stay strong against all the abuses of Hindley. Nelly is a caretaker of the Earnshaw's. Another prime family of the novel is Lintons. Edgar and Isabella are disciplined kids of Lintons, living at Thrushcross Grange and are totally opposite of Heathcliff and Catherine. They welcome and accept Catherine into their house but not Heathcliff. Although having deep affection for Heathcliff, Catherine marries with Edgar Linton. Heathcliff vows revenge and marries Isabella Linton. He doesn't even care who he hurts while expressing or executing his anger and hatred. He is desperate to destroy all dear belongings of Edgar Linton. And story moves on further with the second generation of both the families and ends with an unexpected climax. Heathcliff is the rarest of the characters that one can ever imagine. The sentimental core of the plot is Heathcliff and Catherine's semi incestuous bond. It's a deep, soulful yet quite disturbing love story of revenge and intergenerational abuse. It is Hindley's abuse that makes Heathcliff a monster. Wuthering Heights resembles heady stuff of the abusive cycles and interfamily violence. Wuthering Heights is contemporary classic novel that accurately portrays life during the early era. The way it is crafted and the literary merit it possess, gives the feeling of being trapped in moors and experiencing the liveliness of character around. It is an awesome piece of quality literature that perhaps only a genius can make happen.

Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte is a literary gem that has stood the test of time. This iconic novel, although controversial when it was first published, has captivated readers for generations, myself included. Its complex characters, haunting atmosphere, and tragic love story make for an unforgettable reading experience. Bronte’s writing style is nothing short of mesmerizing. The way she seamlessly weaves together multiple narrators and diverging timelines adds layers of depth to the story. Each voice is distinct and their perspectives bring unique insights into the tumultuous tale. The descriptive prose transports the reader to the wild moors of Yorkshire, making the setting a character in itself. The sweeping landscapes mirror the characters' turbulent emotions, intensifying the overall atmosphere of the novel. The characters in Wuthering Heights are both deeply flawed and highly intriguing. Heathcliff, the enigmatic protagonist, is a brooding, dark figure consumed by his love for Cathy. His complexity and the intensity of his emotions are what make him such a memorable character. Cathy, on the other hand, is torn between societal expectations and her untamed passion. Their toxic relationship, filled with dark obsessions and unrequited love, serves as the driving force behind the story. While Wuthering Heights is primarily known for its love story, it encompasses so much more. It delves into themes of social class, revenge, and the destructive power of obsession. Bronte challenges societal norms of the time, shedding light on the consequences of suppressing one's desires and the importance of staying true to oneself. This novel may not be for everyone due to its dark and melancholic tone, but if you appreciate gothic literature and enjoy complex character dynamics, Wuthering Heights is an absolute must-read. Its enduring relevance and timeless themes continue to resonate with readers across generations. Prepare to be emotionally drawn into a world of passion, obsession, and cruelty, as you embark on this haunting journey through the moors of Wuthering Heights.

Hard cover with bookmark. Will be much easier to read than my old book that is too small. Papers are relatively thin but that doesn’t bother me. I was looking for something to make this particular book easier to read and this is perfect for that. It is also very beautiful for a collection if that’s your thing.
