Logitech Z120 Stereo Speaker (Black and White)

Very good quality

I ordered these speakers on Friday, 04/09 and received them on the 08/09. They came in a big box which scared me as I didn't want the speakers to be really bulky but there's a box within a box surrounded by bubble box. I don't know how helpful that is to protect the speakers. As environement friendly as I am, I did feel it was a huge waste. To be honest I have only used them for an hour or so but my initial experience with the speakers, so far, has been great. I was confused between Ligtech and Lenovo MO520 but someone adivsed me to go for logitech and so far, I have little to complain. They are a real beauty, visually, quite sturdy and sleek at the same time.Mine are beautifully white, I am not sure if there are other colors available but white look very appealing to the eye. The quality of the wires attached seem good quality. I just tend to stuff a lot of things together in the same place so wire quality is very important for me ans they chip off really quickly. I wasn't looking for speakers to use on a laptop which is what they are meant for originally. I wanted for speakers compatible with a my mobile phone. as little as I understand about gadgets, I was worried that I wouldn't be able to use them on the phone and would need to send them back. You DO need a USB port to use them at all times but HALLELUJAH they work like magic. The sound volume isn't as loud (read "bassy") as hoped but there isn't any distortion and voice clarity which is great. Hey! for the price your paying for these babies, you have little to complain.

This speaker gets 5 out of 5 for sound quality and bass output considering its price when used at a desk or within a small room. Remember these are small speakers meant to be used with laptops at a desk. Do you use headphones as desk speakers? Then don't use these as large room or hall speakers. Have some sense please, use them for their purpose (desk speakers). Now to the most important information about these speakers, this is true atleast for the ones I received and may help others avoid the confusion of mixed reviews. Besides the obvious personal taste, there is one factor that changes sound quality and especially bass quality with these. THE POWER SOURCE. These work best only with a 5V 1A source. So use a 1A wall adapter or a powerbank with a 1A slot. The typical laptop/desktop usb 2 port outputs at 500ma (0.5A). USB 3 ports output at 900ma(0.9A) which is close to 1A. So reviewers who attached it to usb2 ports will get low bass but ultra clear sound while USB3 might (I've not verified) give you closer to the sound the speaker is designed for. If you use a 1A(1000ma) source, you will get the true sound of the Z120. The bass will be present and the music enjoyable with good clarity too. If you go the other way and use more than 1A, like a 2A adapter, you will thin the sound again making the bass weak and sound brighter overall which might hurt your head on some songs(extra treble). I found this through trial and error as I was confused why the speaker suddenly sounds nice and balanced and suddenly sharp, clear with lower bass. I was connecting it to different power sources! (1A, 0.5A and 2A). So please connect this to the appropriate power source. The printed value should be 5V 1A for input and it performs best with this. Also, if you want better quality, use an external dac, pass usb audio from your laptop/phone(via otg) to it and connect the DAC to speakers via line out. I cannot talk about build quality now as these are hardly a week old. Complete value for money though as of now for just Rs 899.

The black & white combination really looks premium and beautiful. Also I tried this for a few minutes and they played beautifully but lacking bass, you need to buy it to believe how premium looking product it is! Amazon really surprises with it's vast collection! But to my awe received an open box resealed with a normal transparent tape and with the original customer's invoice. I don't know why the customer returned it but upon seeing the product being used and returned I was not sure if I should keep it or not. So opted for a replacement. Amazon was good enough to accept the return but the pickup guy was rude & not cooperative. He first denied to accept the return as he was not able to find any damage even though I explained him and showed the video of unboxing that I had recorded luckily. But later upon having a telephonic conversation with Amazon's cc representative he took it back. Kudos to Amazon's staff who understands a customer's problem. Also a replacement was never sent and after 15 or 20 days upon taking a follow up the Amazon cc representative reimbursed my prepaid amount.

At first I was confused with other products like iBall sound wave 2 and others, but after trying this, I feel satisfied. Volume is moderate, not too loud, neither too low. I am watching a movie with my family by using these speakers. Audio is good, bass is average but not disappointing though. Build quality is good, too. Feels like I can drop these on ground without worrying much. Well, that's all I have to tell right now. Thanks logitech for this product.

I'm sure you will find speakers with better quality but I just needed something louder than my screen and that is exactly what this is. Can easily watch a video in my room with a fan going so it does everything I need it to do. If you want to play loud music you may want to spend a little more but this is a great option for the price.

Powered via usb. Using 3.5mm analog stereo cable. Loud and clear, great for a simple and quick setup. Don’t expect excellent clarity, but for simple listening, it work well.
