Fast and Frugal
This is the 2nd book of Malcom gladwell that I've read after 'outliers'. As per the name of the book, Blink is the book about the "first two seconds".The book is all about snap judgements, that reveals the sceret of fast and frugal judgements based on little information. Gladwell points out that snap judgements are better than the decisions where we take considerable amount of time and through our choices and options. This split second decisions are based on "adaptive unconsciousness".But are the snap judgments derived from adaptive unconsciousness or rapid cognition always reliable??The answer is No.Author doesn't stop just stating the positive sides of snap judgments, he also explains negative incidents across the world. Why does the blind test for coke turn into disaster? Why Diallo got killed by police? But he also gives the proper approach to snap judgments. Thin-slicing, refers to ability our unconscious mind to find patterns in situations and behaviour based on narrow slicses of experiments.Blink is an interesting and compelling read, it's very well written, engages your mind from start to end. I would like to recommend this book to anyone who's trying to learn and think better as it helps in all aspects of life. Also, those who are studying psychology must give it a try.

a good read! gets better in the end
It confirms the hidden bias you always had in your mind that you never really cared to admit. The book also answered a lot of questions i had in my mind about why certain things worked in the past and why some didn’t as i always wondered i gave my best, but now I know what went wrong.

BLINK REVIEW
Believe it or not, you make decisions without realising them, the fundamentals of snap decisions which take place in milliseconds influence our life greatly. By trusting your instincts or 'listening to your heart' you can eventually make decisions that prove to be better than well analysed and considered decisions, although it does not work like this all the time. In the field, military commanders makes crucial decisions in the matter of seconds. In 2002, the US military conducted a massive training exercise. The blue team was the US military with all the intelligence in the world and with a goal to carefully analyse and debate on each tactic and event instead of taking decisions on the go. The red team was an under-informed terrorist group. Any person would have gone in the favour of the blue team but ultimately the red team overpowered the blue team despite their resources. How?

Ok ok..
The name is more interesting than the book. Some sections of the book were interesting but some too stretched in detail that it got boring and in between you lost whole plot of why you were reading this, if the book could have been more to the point and concise it would have been much better.

This book deliver insights into how we think and make decisions
This book "Blink" explores the concept of "thin-slicing," or the ability to make quick and accurate judgments based on limited information. The author employed an "engaging" writing style as a fiction writer typically does. The author, Gladwell's research, is extensive, and he does an excellent job of weaving together different stories and examples to illustrate his points. The author made complex concepts accessible. This book generates thought-provoking insights into the human mind and decision-making. It is a must-read for anyone interested in psychology, decision-making, and human behavior.

Not an Easy Read for Beginners
Only difficulty I found reading is keeping up with the names of different people mentioned during the book. Otherwise an incredible read!

Blink
In this book Malcolm Gladwell described about our intuition and gut feeling with examples. Sometimes we don't know about our own biases towards religion, cast and gender which he explained very well. This book us providing information on what all things to be kept in mind while taking fast decision. Face reading part is awesome although we need lot of practice to do that. Research on Thin slicing to solve big problem or read mind is very detailed.
