I don’t know if the lid is BPA free. The water will only touch the plastic in the lid if the thermos is not in an upright position.

Sure is! I tried to find an American made mini thermos, but there were none! I do like this one, though; good quality.

I don’t know if the paint is non toxic. The inside is not painted and will probably not be affected by scratches on the outside.

The lid is made of the same metal the body is made of. There is a silicon ring seal inside.
