Success and Ease of Use in Home Cider Making
I have had very good results using this strain for home hard cider production in 1 gallon batches. Using about 1.3grams to the gallon and fermenting at 'room' temperatures of about 70ºF. I have found a week of fermentation, then cold-crashing clarifies pretty well and encourages the yeast to settle. Then racking with added sugar or fresh juice to create carbonation, and a week or less in the bottle before refrigerating makes a nice sparkling cider.
