I purchased this twice. Product is in great condition in both cases. The band is amazing and the battery life is extraordinary.

I had high hopes based on the reviews here but the watch was shockingly bad in terms of battery life and it's primary function as a wearable. The battery falls rapidly if the screen stays on for a bit dropping a % point per min. While I was setting it up, the watch showed that I burnt 2 calories despite the watch sitting on the bed. The step counts seems fine but can't see how the watch would last more than 3-4 days with normal use. Going to have to return this. A common issue that I have with most wearables on the market is that they force you to sign in and create a profile to be able to use the watch. This is a breach of privacy that is being normalized.

Let’s face it — Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro is a good product overall, but whether it suits you depends entirely on which features matter most to you. I bought it for two main reasons: step tracking (my primary motivation, as it helps keep me active) and simply to tell the time. Technically, I don’t need anything beyond that. While I appreciate the additional features, they’re irrelevant to me — and more importantly, I don’t fully trust their accuracy. The watch looks great, and it’s easy to customise with a range of interchangeable straps. The screen is probably its best feature — bright, sharp, and highly legible. However, the interface isn’t particularly intuitive. I’ve owned several generations of Fitbits, and I can say that even some older models are more user-friendly and functional. My main issue is the inaccuracy of the step count. I tested it using three different methods: an analogue pedometer, an old Fitbit, and manually counting my steps. All three gave consistent results — but the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro consistently under-counted, sometimes by a factor of 2 to 6. It counts well the exercises, but any other "normal" walking is inaccurate. Because of this inconsistency, it becomes very difficult to interpolate or estimate your actual step count with any confidence. The floors climbed data is also inaccurate and unreliable. Another issue: if you forget to synchronise the band before going to bed, the next day’s data will not be synced to Apple Health — where I have over eight years of step-tracking history. This is a serious flaw that should be addressed, especially for users committed to long-term health tracking. Overall, considering its price, the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro is a good device — sleek, affordable, and with a great display. But if accurate step counting is a priority for you, think twice before purchasing it.

Je porte un autre modèle de Xiaomi depuis plus d’un an, et j’en suis très satisfait. J’ai donc acheté la XIAOMI Smart Band 9 Active pour mon fils de 10 ans, et ce choix s’est révélé excellent. Tout d’abord, le design est sobre et élégant. La montre est très légère, ce qui la rend extrêmement confortable à porter toute la journée, y compris pendant le sport ou à l’école. On l’oublie presque au poignet. Le bracelet est particulièrement bien conçu : il est facile à ajuster, solide, agréable au toucher et s’adapte parfaitement à différentes tailles de poignet. La taille de la montre est donc idéale aussi bien pour les enfants que pour les adultes. L’un des gros points forts est sans aucun doute la batterie. L’autonomie est excellente : elle tient facilement entre 7 et 10 jours, selon l’utilisation (notifications, activités, etc.). C’est un vrai confort de ne pas avoir à la recharger constamment. Le système de recharge est lui aussi très bien pensé. Le chargeur magnétique est simple à utiliser, la connexion se fait sans effort et tient parfaitement en place. Pas besoin de manipulations compliquées : on pose, ça s’aimante, et ça charge. L’interface est claire et intuitive, les fonctions essentielles sont présentes et bien exécutées. Pour une utilisation quotidienne, que ce soit pour suivre l’activité ou recevoir des notifications, elle remplit parfaitement son rôle. En résumé, la XIAOMI Smart Band 9 Active est une excellente montre connectée : stylée, légère, facile à utiliser, avec une autonomie impressionnante. C’est un très bon choix pour un enfant comme pour un adulte.

I have this band after my Iwatch was broken. I realized I didn’t use the full functionality of it, because the watch screen is too too small to do anything complicated. I also don’t need (don’t want to be interrupted by) all the notifications/functionality like using my phone. Therefore, I decided to focus on what I really need, which is fitness tracking. I tried the other more famous band, which looks great. But the battery life was a big concern to me. It didn’t last one day after I turned on all functionality. It might be defective, since it claims a little longer Battery life than that. Besides, I had to pay for some functions. So I switched to this one, cheaper but with longer battery life. The battery life is really amazing. With all functions on, it can last 10 days or more (I never let it go down to 30%). When I have a short business trip, I don’t need to bring a charger at all. It provides enough fitness tracking. By comparing with my old Iwatch, I found that the Distance is accurate , the steps is a little lower but ok for me. The calories are very different (I heard the calculation is different). But it does provide me the relative information for my day to day fitness activities. I have it on my wrist all the time. Charging is also very fast. I like it very much!
