Waste of time.
Perhaps this product repels moles in a test tube; most likely anything would. But not on a lawn. Each morning I found the new soil mounds, and carefully found the mole's tunnel and dropped in a green repellent ball in its little bag. The next morning the mounds were often in the exact same place, or very close by. One day four out of five of the new tunnels went right around yesterday's pellet. I suppose this might qualify as avoidance, now that I think of it. I would certainly suggest finding something else.

Not working!
Product comes with a cloth baggie to put the repellent ball in. gives the rodent something to grab on to and drag it way. Still have a gopher hole, placed one in the hole and one three feet away on each side. The next day, one was still there, one was dragged 10 feet away and the other twenty+ feet away. Even placing one in the hole and filling in the hole, the gopher(s) drag the baggie away and re-open the hole.

Wear gloves!
These things are FOUL! Like put under the car seat of your worst enemy foul. But I guess that is the point. This will keep everything away. I saw spiders flee from the area within seconds of placement. There are 24 individually packaged odor bombs along with a mesh pouch to put them in. I just put them at the openings of some active tunnels without the bags. They smell like rotted garlic moth balls. My nose didn't linger long enough to catch any whiff of peppermint. It could be there but the other smells overwhelm the scent. I didn't touch the things, I handled them by the wrapper only, and still my hands reeked. Will the voles finally pack it in and relocate? Only time will tell.

Time will tell...
But so far, this product was easy to use. I haven't used all the pellets yet and I'm willing to keep dropping more and more as and when I see more holes. But I'll eventually know if it worked or not, if the holes stop then it worked.Disclaimer: I have a relatively small lawn (28 x 21 ft) and this 24-pack is more than enough. YMMV.

Does not work, attracts them way more.
Used whole box on my yard, 24 count it did the opposite of what it's supposed to do. I only had 5 holes now have over 20 in the front yard.

Aggravates the voles, but not enough for a big yard
I put these all over my yard before heading out of town for a week. When I came back, the voles had definitely been affected. There were new mounds and soft areas in the yard near where I put the repellent. The problem is that 25 of these things just isn't enough for dealing with a larger yard. I suppose if you have a small space and start at the beginning of the year, it might work ok, but I used these in August in a big yard. In the past I've used spreadable repellent and was more systematic in applying it to the yard. That worked well. So yes, this repellent aggravated the voles, so it does its job to a degree, but dropping balls of repellent around the yard really is a hit and miss approach. Since I just did this in the past two weeks, I really don't know how long the voles will keep moving around.

Just a giant moth ball
I give it a 2 star at most for now. It may works "slowly"? As it just smell and looks like a giant moth ball only. It may repell the insects/worm thus eventually the insect eating Groundhog/Vole/Mole? But I just have two new holes even i put the Repellent to two of the old holes. The thing is it help forcing the mole stay in the new hole which I can easily put a trap to get rid of the mole..... which i think that's not totally useless?

Wow are these repellent balls strong smelling!
We have a gopher problem in our yard. Of course, they only go after the good, healthy plants or veggies. We have tried gopher traps, smoke bombs and even water (not effective). So we are giving these mole balls a go. They are packaged in individual plastic bags inside a box covered in sealed plastic. Upon opening the box, you immediately smell the repellent. They have small cloth bags to put the ball in to bury it or I just threw them under bushes so they dissolve more slowly. Hoping these work to rid our yard of rodents of all kinds.
