Cute and it never dies.
I love virtual pets (and real ones). I decided to give this a go as the price was good and I was intrigued by the control pad being inside the hole. It’s a colour screen and you can pet the little critter using the pad. You can hold down the pad and release it to make your Punirune jump. There are several games and the pets never die, they turn to water and can be revitalised by petting them. It’s fairly big for a virtual pet and seems sturdy. You can adjust the volume, brightness and clock. There’s a menu similar to older tamagotchis that sit around the screen where you can feed, cook, dust, bathe, clean poo balls, dress them up and change furniture, travel, health and settings. You can travel to a shop to buy food, accessories and furniture, a park where you can input codes, a funfair world to play 6 games and a place with sparkles which I’m not sure what it does. It takes 3 x aaa batteries.

A Must-Have for Digital Pet Fans!
As someone who owns both Tamagotchis and a Bitzee, I have to say the Punirunes really stands out! It combines the nostalgia of Tamagotchi-style gameplay with something totally new — the squishy input button. It’s so satisfying to press, and it makes interacting with the toy feel more tactile and fun. With 55 characters to unlock, there’s always a new surprise, and each one has its own quirky personality. Compared to my Tamagotchis, the Punirunes feels more playful and interactive, and compared to Bitzee, it’s a lot cuter and more compact, making it easy to carry around. The screen is on the smaller side, but the animations are vibrant and full of charm, so it doesn’t take away from the experience. If you’re into digital pets or already collect Tamagotchis and Bitzee, this is a fantastic addition to your collection. Super fun, endlessly cute, and highly addictive!

Cute, fun and engaging!
So much fun and so easy to use and navigate. Lots of interactive functions and has a lot of hours of fun within it Quality is great, I have no worries about it's build or longevity. It's withstood a few bumps, drops and squishes and still going strong, plus it's so cute, perfect for any kawaii loving kid. My only fault is that I wish it was usb rechargeable. You want some decent rechargeable batteries as the kids play with this non stop. It's like a fidget tamagotchi, only better. It has so many fun mini games to play. I love that the pet has lots of 'evolutions' depending on how you interact with it also. Recommended for any young, or not so young virtual pet lover

Amazing
I bought this for myself, an adult who grew up with tamagotchi and loves them still. This digital pet is amazing! I get the same feeling I had with my first tanagotchi all those years ago. The touch feature is excellent and your pet responds instantly, in real time. There's fun games, making food and feeding your pet, along side cleaning its environment, cleaning your pet and dealing with its "little presents". The instructions are tricky. I had to use YouTube to understand all the features, but now I do, this is just brilliant. It doesn't die, it just dissolves and needs a little rub to come back to life and there's a range of evolutions. The only down side is how quickly it gets through batteries.

Fun for kids... Or possibly parents who remember their Tamagotchi days!
Bought this as a 6th birthday present and was happily informed by dad that the recipient loved it. Though I haven't seen it in action myself it was a hit with the new Punirune carer - Just like another 'T' brand was back in the day! The combination of on-screen virtual pet and physical touch interaction sensor is a nice idea and clearly fun for kids. No complaints about the durability, though I did invest in a silicone cover (also available on Amazon). Went down well as a gift and was value for money at the price I paid.

Fun gift for 8 year old
Hmm this is it a bit of a novelty toy. Has potential to be good, it functions well and has night colours but my daughter seemed bored after a few days. It's a great size and the inside is soft and squishy.

Great interactive toy
Bought for my daughter, but I love it! The instructions aren't overly clear but there are loads of hints and tips online. The little image is really cute and it's easy to put the volume on mute. The games are fun, and some are easier than others. It's very addictive and when it's not been played with for a couple of days I feel really guilty. You can go to a market where you buy different ingredients to take to the kitchen and cook up different foods (just different shapes) and feed to the little creature. You need to clean up after it when it goes to the toilet and give it lots of affection. It loves to play the mini games and the more you interact the quicker it grows. When it reaches the adult stage it leaves home and you get a new little one. You can still visit the adults. You have to collect eggs that you add together to make different creatures, but we seems to keep getting the same one, which is a little annoying. The good thing is that it doesn't beep or make any annoying noise when it's not played it, it just stays silent until you wake it up.

Just know it’s big, but it’s very cute and interactive. The pet is also not too needy.

The first thing I will clarify is that I am a 23 year old collector, I do not have children and it was not bought for a child. After spending over a day with my Punirune, I have a lot of positive things to say. It looks exactly as advertised, the screen is bright and colorful and the ‘joystick’ within it is rubbery and soft. Its texture is vaguely similar to a ‘mochi squishy’, a squishy and stretchy silicone toy. The buttons at the front of the unit are comfortable, even for an adult’s hands. The hole for the joystick also accommodates an adult hand. It should be plenty comfortable for a child, if not slightly large for younger children. There are a lot of adjustments that can be made in the settings, like lowering screen brightness and volume level (including muting volume entirely). The sounds of the game are cute but high pitched, and I could see them becoming annoying even at the lowest volume. If this is intended for a child, I suggest muting it. There is a surprising amount of depth to the game. You can cook for your Punirune, buy new rooms and accessories, play games with your Puni, and ‘evolve’ your Puni with time and care. Similar to a Tamagotchi, you also clean your Puni’s room, as well as bathe and feed your Puni. The feature of petting the Puni with the soft joystick adds emersion, as well as a more personal connection to the toy. It can teach the importance of petting pets/animals gently, not overfeeding them, cleaning up after them, and enriching them. My only complaints thus far is that the joystick does not function as a button. Pushing down on it in the center does nothing. Instead, it can be moved smoothly and input at least 4 directions. As mentioned earlier, it can be loud even at the lowest volume, I would suggest you mute the toy if you plan to give it to a child. I could also see the joystick potentially becoming sticky with time. Make an effort to make sure your hands are clean before petting your Punirune. All in all I’d recommend it! It’s surprisingly affordable for how much depth it has. Although it’s less portable than a Tamagotchi, it has many more features. Punirunes is a pleasant respite from phones, tablets, and the endless advertisements that adults and children alike are force fed while attempting to find fun on those platforms. I would also say that Punirunes is much safer than handing your child a phone or iPad. It has no internet connection, teaches nurturing pets, and has safe and pleasant content.
