Alright, buckle up for a bass-tastic ride with the Klipsch Flexus SUB 100 10” Wireless Subwoofer, the low-end lovechild of Klipsch and Onkyo that’s so thumpy it could wake a coma patient. This box of boom is built solely for Klipsch Flexus Core 100 or 200 soundbars, and it’s here to rattle your ribcage and your neighbor’s nerves with glorious, gut-punching lows. Picture a subwoofer that’s less “furniture” and more “earthquake simulator” for your living room. Sound: A Bass-Splosion of Epic Proportions This 10-inch paper cone beast, fueled by an 80W RMS (160W peak) Class D amp, doesn’t just play bass—it assaults you with it. I fired up Jurassic Park, and when that T-Rex roared, the Flexus SUB 100 made my couch shimmy like it was auditioning for a twerk team. The range delivers tight, precise lows that don’t blur into a muddy mess, unlike my uncle’s old sub that sounded like a washing machine full of bricks. From Dune’s sandworm rumbles to Metallica’s basslines, it’s crisp, punchy, and never farts out distortion. One X user raved it “shakes the room without waking the kids,” but let’s be real—crank it up, and your goldfish might start breakdancing. Klipsch Connect Plus App: Your Bass Wizard The Klipsch Connect Plus app is like having a wizard for your woof. Plug in the USB dongle, and this sub pairs faster than my mom swiping on Tinder. Adjust volume, crossover, phase, or slap on presets like Night Mode (for when your spouse threatens divorce over vibrations) or Bass Mode (for when you want to be the noise complaint). I tweaked the EQ to tame corner placement boom, and voila—no more windows rattling like a poltergeist’s tantrum. The app’s so easy, even my tech-phobic dad could make this sub sing. Design: Sneaky Sub Stealth At 13.38” x 13.19” x 13.75” and 20.7 lbs, this ebony-vinyl cube is sleeker than my attempts to slide into DMs. Its wireless 2.4GHz connection means no cable spaghetti, letting you hide it anywhere it’ll still annoy your HOA. Verdict The Klipsch Flexus SUB 100 is a bass-dropping, room-rocking riot that turns your soundbar into a sonic superhero. With app-controlled wizardry and lows tighter than my skinny jeans, it’s the funniest way to make your neighbors hate you.

Loud! Bassy! Connects easy! Best sound! Works well! Best sub for the money. You can definitely compete with the best of them. It’s so loud the neighbors will come knock on your door and their house is 15 feet away.

WOW! Sounds great and is super easy to set up with the Flexus sound bar. I really like how loud it goes, typically anything more than 50% volume will shake the whole house. Have had this for over a year and love it. Highly recommend.

Here is why my 4 star rating is still disappointing. My Flexus Core 200 sound bar and (single) Flexus Sub 100, are marginal at best. However this review focuses mainly on the sub recently purchased. Packaging? OMG, I would rate that a 6+. The sub was enveloped with plastic, nestled in heavy standoff foam rubber and not staticky Styrofoam, and double boxed in heavy corrugated cardboard. You could have dropped this out of a plane. As for the unit itself? Heavy, solid, quality material and workmanship. A beefy feel to it when lifted and more than adequate protection for the 10" woofer. Unfortunately, that is where the impressiveness ends. Connectivity is sketchy and may take a few tries marrying the app to your phone and sound bar. Blue toothing the sub to the sound bar took a few tries due to unknown interruptions in the transport signal. You still need the app for best control, but here is where things get really wonky. Most sound systems indicate the sub can be placed anywhere in the listening area because it is only picking up the lows. Not so here, and Klipsch recommends it should be near the sound bar. Furthermore, if everything is mounted on a flat wall, you may not even hear the sub and this is where Klipsch suggests TWO subs with one on each side of the sound bar. Very fortunately for me, my TV and sound bar is located in a corner and I placed the sub behind that about 3" from each adjacent wall off the corners of the sub. Also to my benefit the TV stand has an open back so with the sub being behind that, there are no obstructions to the driver. Most powered subs wired or not have two adjustable controls; one for separate volume and one for a range of frequency response. Not here. There are NO adjustments on the sub itself, but you can make adjustments from the sound bar, the remote, or the app on you phone. However, the only targeted adjustment for the sub is for + or - response of the frequency, NOT VOLUME. Any selected volume level is for all connected components to the sound bar and not really individually. Regardless of all my negative comments, the sound is clear and concise. The bass is tight and not boomy, and the dialog boost works well for most receptions except for Prime Video. With Prime, any background noise or music drowns out speech even with the dialog enhancement Klipsch offers. Volume overall is lacking on the mustard. Max level of volume is disappointing and could have had a bit more snot to it, but it is extremely clear with no distortion. Finally price? Priced higher than you get what you pay for if that makes any sense. I can not tell you where my money could have been spent better. I can only tell you I am not willing to spend more to find out. Overall, I am going to settle for what I bought. The sound is very clear, just don't expect it to be really loud when you might want that. Hopefully the acoustics in your particular set up will give great sound. I can tell you a corner works best. I am sure I could get the best sound by adding surround speakers, but not willing to jump there yet. So in short: 5 on quality construction, 4 on sound clarity, 3 on volume and price, comes to an overall 4 stars. Just one last comment that I must add: the very impressive packaging for shipping has the phrase " LEGENDARY AMERICAN SOUND" stamped all over it. Just because the company is physically here in the USA, I am trying to get my head around that statement of patriotism with a European name, and 100% Japanese technology. Just sayin!
