Rubber protectors for trail running poles: reliable, durable, and attractive.
These rubber end caps for trail running poles are extraordinary: they fit the pole very well, grip well on dry and wet terrain, don't slip, are quite durable, and their red color makes them very stylish. The first thing I need to clarify is that I'm an ultra-trail runner. I know these end caps fit many types of poles, but my review focuses solely on the rough use a trail runner gives their AONIJIE folding poles. It's important to clarify this because these end caps may behave differently on other poles.I've used these end caps for nine months over nearly 200 miles (320 km). I've run on all types of terrain: long climbs up rocky steps, gravel paths, jungle trails, heavy rain, night runs, lots of mud, and stream crossings with wet and slippery rocks. And my overall experience is that these rubber pole protectors are quite reliable and secure.Despite running on all types of terrain, I've never lost any of the rubber protectors. They adhere very well to the pole. However, I should clarify that they are not completely watertight. When I finish a race, I wash my running poles, which are usually completely muddy. When I remove the rubber protectors, I notice that water and mud have penetrated even inside. That's why, if you look at the photographs, you'll notice that the pole tips are rusty.Another important aspect is to remember that trail running poles have a plastic disc that screws near the tip of the pole. Its purpose is to provide stability on soft terrain like mud or snow. But specifically with my poles, I've noticed that it's not possible to attach both attachments at the same time to prepare them for both hard and soft terrain. These sudden terrain changes are very common in ultra trail. If I put the rubber protectors on, the threads are covered and the plastic disc can't be screwed on. And if I put the plastic disc on first, the rubber protector fits very little into the pole and doesn't fit properly, falling off immediately. However, this hasn't been a problem for me; in ultra trail races, we have to adapt to everything, and it's just a matter of learning how to handle the poles and their accessories. But returning to the strengths of these beautiful red rubber protectors, it's fair to say they're very durable, even with the rough handling from an ultrarunner. So far, with nearly 200 miles of running, I think they've barely worn down 30%. Another important aspect is that they have a metal reinforcement inside. This helps insulate the pole tip and prevent it from piercing the rubber protector, even if they're treated very vigorously.I hope these details have helped other potential buyers, and in conclusion, I can only say that these rubber protectors for hiking and trail running poles are wonderful companions for races.

Don't fear the squishiness, they grip and work well on hard pavement...work very well.
At first I thought their squishiness was going to be a negative, nope...they kept their shape well enough to form to the pavement irregularities...but never folded over. Also, less vibration comes through to the handle...feel smooth walking on hard pavement. I will buy these again, they work well.

Good product great traction soft rubber for streets and buildings.
Good product great traction soft rubber for streets and buildings.Great for urban walkers might be too soft for some hard-core trail hikers. Works perfect for me if you wear them out and get new ones. Great grip easy to see while you're walking.

Good, but no metal washer
I use poles for stability because I have partial paralysis. I love that these don't slip on ceramic tile floors. Some of the others I have used do slip. These almost seem to slightly stick to the tiles which I love. But I could not see a metal washer inside on the bottom to keep the carbide tip of hiking poles from poking through the rubber. There is a slight ledge to catch the bulk of the tip. Hopefully these do last and the carbide tips do not poke on through. Also I LOVE the red color. It gives me a better notion as to where my pole is on the ground. Plus they are quiet ! You could actually sneak up on someone with these tips on !

Works great
Finally a well designed tip for my walking poles that provides best non slip support, not thrilled about color but hey, you can’t have everything

sturdy
These seem to be sturdier than the tips that come with most trekking poles, and I am hopeful that they will last much longer.

Walking stick tips
I needed a tip for the bottom of my walking stick that has a point on the bottom, so I could walk on the sidewalk without my walking stick getting stuck in the sidewalk seams and cracks. These tips fit my walking stick perfectly and give me more stability when I walk.

Perfect! Purchased them for the color
I go on several pole walking events. The red make them SO easy to pull from a pile stashed stashed away while traveling to destination. The tip is also a little bigger than the ones it replacing - that's a good thing.
