Finally, a Power Monitor That Gets It Right!
This product is exceptional. The measurement hardware is impressively accurate, providing current and voltage readings within 1.5% of a high-end HP digital meter. The online documentation offers a detailed MQTT YAML configuration, making integration with Home Assistant or custom Python code effortless. This is a huge improvement over other products that require screen scraping through dynamic HTML and JavaScript to reverse-engineer and extract JSON data. The iOS app is robust, allowing you to custom label all 16 monitored circuits and track the load balance across three mains (for our 3-phase setup). It also supports local generation (solar/wind), offering flexible Breaker-Side and Line-Side configuration options. The app includes a cost estimation feature, allowing you to calculate electricity costs with a simple rate (cents/kWh). However, it could be enhanced for regions with more complex billing structures, like ours, which include peak, near-peak, off-peak, and tiered rates.Thoughtfully designed notifications allow you to set alerts for individual breakers based on consumption thresholds. You can even specify a time window before receiving the notification—perfect for short-term usage like a hair dryer or longer durations like a coffee maker or water pump that stays on too long. The app generates detailed usage graphs on a minute, hour, day, week, month, and year basis for each of the 16 circuits, making it easy to track trends. At its current price, this system is more affordable than its competitors. It’s accurate, has a comprehensive app, integrates smoothly with larger home systems, and comes with excellent tech support (typically responded to within hours).Highly recommended—grab one today!

One of the best options for smart home energy monitoring
This SEM device is well-designed and seemingly well-built. It includes a dedicated app and supports local Home Assistant integration right out of the box. The CT clamps are notably compact compared to competitors, making them ideal for fitting into tight electrical panels. With guidance from the Home Assistant forum, setting up MQTT entities for the CT clamps and aggregated totals was straightforward. For privacy-conscious users, cloud access can be disabled by blocking the device's internet connection and uninstalling the app. Personally, I appreciate the app's real-time graphs for diagnosing circuit issues. The device seamlessly supports both cloud-based app functionality and local MQTT server integration.I'm sharing a few images: one of the tidied electrical panel, two app screenshots, and three from Home Assistant. One minor drawback is the lack of a knockout grommet for the WiFi antenna; I used a spare from a junction box to resolve this.Edit: I saw a latest revew saying the accuracy was questionable. So I did a comparison with the data from my electricity company. The accuracy is better than expected! For example, on a day the SEM reported 73.86kwh, the electricity company reported 74.11kwh. Only 0.33% difference. I calculated the number for a few more days. The difference are in 0.3-0.5% range. Much better than that the 1-2% range claimed by many SEM products.

Great Smart Energy Monitor with Minor Accuracy Quirks
This smart home energy monitor has been a fantastic addition to my setup. Installation was straightforward, the app is intuitive, and I love being able to see real-time energy usage for the whole house. It's really helped me become more mindful about what’s using the most power and when. That said, I did notice a small discrepancy when comparing it to my utility power meter—the readings are consistently off by a few percentage points. Not a huge deal for general monitoring, but if you're looking for ultra-precise data, it’s something to keep in mind. This meter is usually 20-50kwh under what the power company meter says im using. Again this is not a huge deal at all to someOverall, it's a solid product with powerful insights and great functionality. Just shy of perfect due to the slight inaccuracy, but still absolutely worth it for most homeowners.

Works great, great price
I bought two of these, one for my main panel and one for sub panel. I have these set up in both the provided app as well as home assistant (using their provided MQTT server). These are really easy to install, but I still had an electrician do it. It is a bit tedious to set up the YAML file in home assistant but it is very easy to do so.
