Does leave red residue on scalp if not careful and scrub hard but it works all in all.

This was a big mistake buying this and should have known better after looking at the color was much darker than I anticipated. When I used it I could tell it wasn't going to be the valet chocolate brown. Very unhappy I will be sending it back for a refund I believe this is expired.
