This receptacle contains a metal bucket and the 2 plastic pieces you see. In between is sand that you provide. When it is 1/4 full in hot weather, a burning cigarette can cause continuing slow combustion in the bucket with smoke pouring out the top. I'm not sure if other products are designed better to prevent this but it is something to watch out for. If you have the proper amount of sand between the bucket and the plastic, it won't cause any fires, but you need to keep on top of it.As far as price is concerned, you pay quite a bit for two big pieces of plastic and a metal bucket.

Fast delivery. I ordered this one as a gift for my uncle. I have one and have bought a couple for relative who smoke. This works great and is way better than having cig butts all over the place or dirty ashtrays everywhere. If you smoke this is the way to go. Non smokers will love you for it to, LOL

Arrived quickly and blends in well around the landscaping in the tan coloring. Super easy to setup. Waiting to see how long they hold up through use and cleanliness after the grey clouds return to the PNW.

I bought this for my husband who smokes out on the patio. It looks nice and works well.....no more nasty ashtrays setting around. It also matches the rest of my patio decor. Seems a little pricey but I think it is worth it!

Good look, just need to add sand and you all set to use. Now to train the smokers to use it instead of the side walk.
