Oh my gosh, I absolutely love these. I did not know they made a 2 gallon size storage jar. It is huge, but I like the fact that it’s tall and skinny rather than short and fat. It will take up a lot less room in my cupboard and I absolutely love the metal handle and it has the good silicone Ring inserts that stay where they are supposed to with the little tab to pull them out. They seem to be very heavy duty. They came in a Styrofoam insert inside of a box so very well packaged no chips or breaks as a matter of fact, the Amazon guy happened to drop one when he was putting it down and I was concerned that it may have broke, but everything was good.I honestly can’t say enough nice things about these jars. I am just so impressed. I am so tired of all the plastic containers, causing my dry food to taste funny my older plastic containers that were made 20-30 years ago never did that so I am hoping that by using glass containers and taking food out of their original packaging will help alleviate this situation. I know that even my boxed food often ends up tasting funny and I think it has a lot to do with the packaging or possibly how it’s been stored at the plants and stores. It just didn’t used to be that way who knows what they’re putting in our crap now a days.But my plan is to use these giant 2 gallon glass jars to put my long spaghetti noodles in and the over abundance of lasagna noodles that I accidentally bought. But they would be perfect for sugar and flour. They have a good airtight seal. I think that the food would stay fresh and having the handle on it would be easy to lug them around.I will probably mainly use all of the new glass jars that I have purchased for my noodles, beans and rice

This is a very thick glass jar, sturdy and a great size. I use this for storing rice and wanted it to be taller with a smaller base size to fit in a certain location. Easy to wash, and has many uses. I also would use for laundry pods, you can fit a hand in to get the pods out. Will be getting 2 more.

The item itself is perfectly fine. It was hard for me to judge by the photo the size of mouth opening, which is too small for my intended use. My fault! I will just need to find another use for these. But they are pretty heavy and sturdy and seem to seal well. They are too tall for the bottom rack in dishwasher, in case anyone is wondering.

Perfect for those big sacks of rice and rolled oats from Costco. I love that it is tall, rather than wide. Very sturdy. I plan to buy more of these for a really organized pantry.

Great large storage jar. I use it to store rice and it works perfect. Opening is large enough to fit my hand and a measuring cup in and the carrying handle is nice to carry to the kitchen from my pantry.

This jar is really big! But, exactly what I needed it for, to store enough water for my automatic watering mechanism of my hydroponic kit.

I bought this to make ice tea in and it is great but VERY HEAVY to pour from. The handle seems secure but with liquid in the jar I would be scared to use it to carry it.

I reviewed products for the Amazon vine program and received this product to review. This glass container is quite large. It weighs over 5 1/2 pounds. Its plastic lid secures well. This could not be used for canning however. The metal hinge holding the handle on seems very secure. One portion of that band had a somewhat sharp edge. This stores almost 10 pounds of flour. For someone who does a lot of baking for the family, who makes a lot of things from scratch, this would be very useful for storing ingredients, liquid or dry.. I think this is a perfect container for large families with the only drawback being its weight. As a senior, I find this probably too heavy and too large to be of use in our kitchen, but I think this may be perfect to hold our squirrel and bird feed. I recommend this item but I'm giving it four stars because it's so heavy.
