I’ve tried countless planners over the years, but nothing compares to the Hobonichi Cousin. This planner is a game-changer if you’re someone who loves structure and creativity.Pros:Daily Pages: A full A5 page every day gives me room for appointments, to-dos, journaling, or even doodles. It’s therapeutic and productive at the same time.Quality Paper: The Tomoe River paper is thin but holds up impressively well with fountain pens, gel pens, and mildliners. Minimal ghosting, no bleed-through.Layout Variety: With yearly, monthly, weekly, and daily spreads, I can zoom in and out of my schedule as needed. The weekly vertical layout is especially helpful for time-blocking.Build Quality: The binding is durable and the paper feels premium. Even after a full year, it holds up beautifully.Inspiration Everywhere: The quotes at the bottom of each page are thoughtful and sometimes surprisingly profound.Cons:It’s a bit thick and not as portable as some pocket planners — but I knew that going in. I use it as my home base and pair it with a smaller notebook for on-the-go.

I have used a Hobo Cousin for the last couple of years as a way to keep a daily journal. Last year was the first year I wrote something every single day. I really enjoy the quality of the notebook. The paper took some time getting used it, but I love to write on it now. The size is perfect to sit out on my desk for ease of use. The monthly calendars are the perfect place for me to set up reminders for the major events, appointments and vacations for the month. I have not used the weekly spreads as much as I would like to, but I am continuing to work on that. My only suggestions is that I would like to have a few more notes pages at the back.

Yes, it really is the best. Get the right pens. I prefer Micron 05 but there’s many to choose from. The paper is thin, and superb to write on. I use it for work and personal and a family schedule too so: life.I tried everything to avoid the hob. In the end I spent as much trying to make-shift it myself when this is so much easier and the quality is unmatched! However if you really want thicker paper try out the midori notebooks- I’ve not seen a planner but they have great blank journals. It’s nothing like the hob, in terms of paper or experience though.

I wanted a calendar/planner that had many views and was not just part of the year this is it! Room to write not supper heavy.

I absolutely love this calendar and it will be the only brand I buy from now on. It may be a bit pricey, but it’s so worth it. I highly recommend.

First of all, I can't believe this is the first planner of its kind with daily view of every day of the year, plus a weekly view showing every week of the year view, and a monthly calendar view.I am coming from years of using a Franklin planner system. I love that system, but I wanted something I could put in my purse easier.I use the Cousin's daily pages for my to-do list and taking down critical information. I use the weekly view to schedule my time for writing and creating around other appointments. It's awesome to have that weekly view!The monthly keeps up with my calendar appointments, birthdays, and so forthI did not get this planner until February 2nd, so I am using all of January's pages as extended note, to do lists, projects, and goal planning. When those run out I will add a journal to my desk and continue those tasks there.My only regret is that this planner starts on Monday. I am having to adjust to that. But I knew it going in.This will probably be the last planner brand I will ever purchase!

Month/week/day sections make this my go-to. Small enough to carry around. A must have.
