I have this paired with the volca nubass. The volca beats sounds amazing through a decent system or p.a. Headphones don't really do it justice..although dont sound bad. Just love the analog sounds. Great bit of kit for the price!

Once again Korg have come up with a winner. Excellent analog and pcm sounds. Sequencer very similar to the old Electribes. Synchronises perfectly with the other Korg Volcas. Also has midi. Sounds are editable. I especially like the kick drum. Very 808 like. Very reasonably priced and you won't find anything better for the price. A good all rounder.

It is very much a dance sound that you get. So if you want it as a general drum machine, then it is probably not ideal. The output is not very high, but I run it through an audio amplifer and it is more than loud enough. The problem is the relative loudness of the components. the hats are very low compared to the other sounds. This is the biggest draw-back. The instructions are not that useful. They tell you the function of each knob, but there is no tutorial type instruction on how to program it. A little example would be useful. There are the odd video on line, but I didn't find them very useful for a beginner like me. I have given it three stars. I feel it can probably do more than I am using it for and over time, with more experimenting I might find it more useful.Not blown a

I love this little beat machine. Batteries do last for some time, hooked it up with two other volca's and a Monologue in a chain and even tried it with a mni kaoss pad and its brilliant. any questions, please hit me with them

I bought this to complete my Korg Volca rack. It's an analogue drum machine, and the sounds are NOT "realistic" samples. This is good because it fits in with the analogue sound of the other Volcas perfectly - it's abstract, not imitative. There is plenty of info and hands-on stuff about the Volcas on the Volca Facebook page, which I recommend. One hint though, use the "stutter" knobs on the left to vary the sound. You can get a "crash", "roll", "echo" etc effect which goes well into an analogue mix. Great stuff!

C'est une boîte à ryhtme analogique avec un très bon son. Elle a la qualité de ses défauts, elle sonne très analogique, donc il ne faut pas en attendre un son très actuel et punchy. Mais pour faire de la Techno ou de l'Electro c'est parfait ! J'ai d'ailleurs acheté le Volca Bass et le Volca Keys que je synchronise ensemble afin de faire des Jam Sessions Techno ou Ambient. Je la recommande vivement !

Ho acquistato il Volca Beats per utilizzarlo come drum machine e farmi delle basi per suonare la chitarra o il piano sopra, e funziona perfettamente. I suoni sono elettronici ma non in modo eccessivo, diciamo che funzionano perfettamente se si vuole lavorare ispirati da gruppi come i Radiohead. Ciò non toglie che si possano anche fare cose più spinte verso l'elettronica, collegandolo agli altri Volca o ad altri sintetizzatori. Si può anche utilizzare da solo poiché la modulazione dei suoni permette di creare delle melodie. Molto versatile
