Deze test slaat bij verschillende metalen aan. Dus je weet dan eigenlijk nog niet of het echt lood is.

These do work. Tested items and they didnt change colour, so to confirm working, rubbed against the lid of an air rifle pellet tin (the pellets are made of lead) and it turned pink instantly so they di work for showing lead. Very easy to use

I think these work well and are easy to use. Tested lots of wooded surfaces and paint in the house. All negative. Been deciding to test during work just in case I expose anything. On my bay window. Suddenly started getting a mild purple change. Panicked me. Turns out the modern wood filler I was using for what ever reason caused a colour change on the test kit. Did a scratch test on the wood in another area. Negative. Cleaned all the filler away and tested same area. Negative. So just watch out and be sure what you are testing! But otherwise good.

Purchased these to test the paint on some old furniture that I wanted to sand. They are very easy to use, just dip in water, shake off any excess and then rub the damp swab on the site of interest for 20 seconds before checking for any colour change. I was curious to test a negative control (water) and a positive control (old fishing weight). As you can see in the video swabbing the fishing weight led to a change in colour from yellow/orange to pink/purple. Please note that a "real world" positive result (e.g. lead paint) might not cause such a rapid or striking colour change (the fishing weight could be solid lead). The packaging emphasises the importance of swabbing for 20 seconds and the spectrum of possible results, with red/pink/violet indicating the presence of lead.

The indicator turned pink/red on my freshly sanded 70s stairs leading me to have an absolute breakdown and book my kids blood tests (as had been traipsing around in the dust)! Painted over it, it STILL indicated so I tested on all paint in the house, 3 modern emulsions indicated pink to red so I’m not even sure I have any lead paint at all. Wish I hadn’t lost several years off my life and torn my house apart dusting now!
