When you're serious about your knives and you use them in a professional kitchen or even if you're a serious home Chef I would recommend buying this fine honing blade by fine I mean your knife already needs to be sharp and functional at a pro level and then this will keep your blade sharp and functional at pro level. Nice piece of German Steel.

Nineteen years of use, still looks brand new
I bought this steel back in 2002 (looks like the only thing that has changed is the font), and have been using it on my knives ever since (a collection of Messermeister, Wusthof, and a few Japanese VG10 and even some carbon steel knives.) For me the real value of this 'flat' steel is how gentle it is on the knife edges, and how long they last between sharpenings. It's a joy to use and I recommend it to my friends - after nineteen years it still looks and works like new.

seit wenigen Tagen in Verwendung und bereits sehr zufrieden mit dem Schärfeergebnis Die geschärften Messer werden zum Schlachten im Ausland am Bauernhof verwendet. Es hat gefühlte 3 Kilogramm in einer Hand und massiv das fühlt sich nach Qualität an und von mir eine klare Kaufempfehlung.
