Rawlings Select PRO LITE is definitely worth it!
The Rawlings Select PRO LITE 11" Youth Baseball Glove is an outstanding choice for young ballplayers. This pro-modeled glove offers the perfect balance of quality construction and kid-friendly design - ideal for developing proper fielding techniques. What impressed me most was how quickly it broke in – my son (an 8U player for reference) was game-ready almost immediately. The leather quality feels premium without being overly stiff, and the pocket forms naturally to secure those hard-hit balls. The pro-style design gives kids the confidence they need on the field, and the durability means this glove will last through multiple seasons. If you're looking for a youth glove that performs exceptionally well without breaking the bank, the Rawlings Select PRO LITE is definitely worth adding to your young athlete's equipment collection!

Great quality
recently purchased the Rawlings Pro Lite Youth Baseball Mitt for my child, and I am extremely pleased with the quality and fit of this product. Rawlings has once again proven why they are a trusted name in baseball gear.First and foremost, the craftsmanship of this mitt is outstanding. The leather is high quality, soft yet durable, which is crucial for young players who are still getting used to handling a glove. The stitching is precise and sturdy, ensuring that the mitt will last through many seasons of play. One of the most important aspects of any youth baseball mitt is the fit, and the Rawlings Pro Lite does not disappoint. It fits my child’s hand perfectly, providing a comfortable and secure grip. The design is clearly tailored for young players, making it easier for them to open and close the mitt effortlessly.Breaking in the glove was also a breeze. It was game-ready almost right out of the box, needing minimal effort to soften and shape. My child was able to start using it in games and practices almost immediately, which is a huge plus.In terms of performance, the Pro Lite has exceeded our expectations. It offers excellent control and responsiveness, helping my child improve their catching skills and overall confidence on the field. The mitt’s lightweight design is perfect for young players, allowing for quick and easy maneuverability. In conclusion, the Rawlings Pro Lite Youth Baseball Mitt is a fantastic investment for any young baseball player. Its high quality, perfect fit, and ease of use make it an ideal choice for both beginners and more experienced youth players. I highly recommend this mitt to any parent looking for a reliable and top-notch glove for their child.

Good starter glove.
Good quality starter glove Steve out of the box took a couple of weeks to break in, but has a sturdy pocket. Fit a 10-year-old well.

Good starter glove
Good starter glove, bought for 8 year old. Very stiff for his little hand. Took all weekend of pounding with a mallet to get it loosened but he seems to like it.

Really Great Glove - Mike Trout 12.25in - for 9yr old +
This is a reveiw for the 12.25in (Mike Trout) glove.I bought this for my 9yr old soon to be 10yr old, and don't think I could have picked a better glove. I would say this is a great glove for a bigger 9yr old kid all the way to 13yrs old or a little older depending on the kid of course. Leather is super soft and comfortable and the glove broke in super easy. Fits my 9yr olds hand really well (this is not an adult size glove).Note that at first I was really nervous on the size - 12.25 seams really big - and while it is on the bigger side for this age- dont worry - it is very light and easy to use. Just killer for those outfeild pop flies and grounders. Also, while it is a intended as an outfeilder glove, I could easly see a pitcher or even most infeilders being able to use this glove too. I think it is more versitale than it is given credit for, and I particualrly like the Trapeze style of this glove. (for infeilders/pitchers IMO just dont break in the pocket quite as much and keep the trapeze lacing tighet and I feel it is a solid utility glove.)For the price we looked at A LOT of other gloves - went to stores and had my 9yr old try on dozens of others - and this was by far the best we saw - regarless of price.*to break it in don't buy anything special- we used the shaving cream method (easy internet search) and it worked like a charm and was game ready in basically 1 day.

Nice glove for the money. My son loves it
I got this for my 7yo son, who previously had a cheaper 10.5" glove. It had man made laces and screen printing on the heel and index finger. He was also starting to outgrow it so I thought he could use the next model up before fall ball this year. I gave it to him a couple days ago and he loves it. The laces are all leather, the pocket is deeper so catching will be easier once he breaks it in a bit, and the embroidered Rawlings logo on the index finger makes him feel like he's wearing a pro glove. Who am I to let him think otherwise ;-) It has good padding in the palm to absorb shock from catching and he says it's comfortable to wear. I didn't really need to oil it because it's already 90% broken in but I oiled the glove with Sarna glove conditioner anyway before I gave it to him. I also tightened up the laces a little to make it a bit more rigid and give the glove a little more structure to aid in catching better. This should last him the next several years of play, which is good because he does need to grow into this one a little.
