Bought as a present for my daughters bird! Great to know what is safe before introducing new food. Entirely another matter as to whether the bird will try it though.

Contains lists of safe foods as well as those that are toxic to parrots.A great deal of information on healthy foods, sprouting and providing foraging opportunities.Many recipes are included too. I feel confident that providing a very wide range of fresh and organic foods is the best way to nourish our feathered friends.

Love this book has great ideas and I have tried many of the recipes! Parrots got involved and were excited to try new things! Great quick ref on things safe to eat instead of looking on internet all the time! Signed up to a couple of social media recommendations which have been helpful would def recommend. !

My blue fronted Amazon parrot is obese and has fatty liver disease and high cholesterol due to being a seed junky. This book has been so invaluable! It has helped me understand the benefits of different types of fruits and veggies, given me inspiration for his new meals and I actually find myself referring to it pretty much every day.I adapt the recipes for my bird. He is now doing so much better and is healthier then ever! He has gone from being a parrot who DETESTED veg and anything that wasn't seed, to being excited for every meal and devouring his fruit , veggies and healthy grains etc. He now only has about 1 teaspoon of his old seed every few days!If you have a parrot you need this book!

This book is a very detailed book re parrot health and cuisine! It’s very in depth and always good for ideas as to what to feed your parrots

EXCELLENT BOOK LOTS OF EXCELLENT RECIPES. WITH A LITTLE TWEEKING COULD MAKE SOME NICE MEALS FOR HUMANS. LEARN'T ABOUT SOME THINGS WHAT PARROTS SHOULD NOT HAVE ONIONS /GARLIC. MY PARROTS LOVES BOTH AND HELPS HIMSELF TO THEM. THEY NOW LOCKED AWAY. I MAKE POP CORN ADD HONEY WITH CHOPPED BASIL / OREGANO. SHOP BROUGHT POP CORN NOT SUITABLE, SALT AND SUGAR ADDED.

I've wanted this book for ages after seeing it on the World Parrot Trust website. All parrot parents NEED the knowledge in this book to give their parrots (and smaller talking birds) a long, healthy happy life. There are also lots of photographs and drawings that make the pages pretty and colourful. I haven't seen a book as gorgeous as this since the ones printed in the '90s.

Very good book has lots of ideas to keep your parrots diet interesting and healthy. I have bought a couple of these for people I know who own parrots.
