Shadow Hawk More Than Expected
The Shadow Hawk is a really great toy! It is very durable & perfect for younger kids. It shoots little paper wads & is extremely accurate. It is very well-built and my son will enjoy it for years!!

Don't waste your money
Great concept. Terrible execution. Shoots maybe 30 feet and, since the spit-wad pellets are never the same, is completely unpredictable for aiming. It you are lucky, you might hit a person standing 25 feet away. The pellets will curve or drop differently with each shot.Don't waste your time or money on this toy as it will only frustrate a kid of any age.

Not Nerf !!
This gun basically shoots a spit ball.It looks cool, but with one big flaw...NO TRIGGER! To shoot it,you must pull back forward stock and let it go.Dumb, in my book.My 8 year old thinks it's OK.Paper bullets a little pricey too.Plastic tripod legs broke off first day.Like I said stick to Nerf,stronger,safer,worthy..

My son's favorite christmas present!!
Tried this as an alternative to the foam dart guns and it was a great present. My son loved it and we ended up buying several more for other presents. The cost of the paper ammo refills is a little pricey but it kept my son busy for hours. We bought the targets to shoot but my son has made lots of targets including the recycling bin, cans, almost anything he can find. We have had no problems with it so far but make sure you soak the ammo really good or sometimes they don't splat very good. All the little paper remnants can be a pain depending on where they are using the gun but it can be easily cleaned up. So far it has not lost the thrill factor and remains the first choice when friends are over. This does shoot with some force and left a welt when they decided to shoot each other. The gun comes with safety goggles which is a good idea for safety. Great accuracy and shoots at least 100 feet!! All in all a good toy but I'm sure with anything else it will eventually get old or too expensive to continue to buy the ammo. But for now great buy and great present!!! We have already got our money's worth out of this gift!!!

I wanted to like it...
This gun has a definite aesthetic value, which is why I chose it over a Nerf. The ammo definitely has potential, as well. Unmodded, it has lots more range and accuracy than a foam dart. True the paper ammo is only one-time use, and may be a bit of a hassle keeping moist in battle, but the benefits outweigh the negatives, in my opinion.I was first disappointed at the lack of a trigger; it should be required for a precision weapon like this. The pull and release system can be taxing on accuracy, and I can see it tiring ones arm out while holding for a shot or in a long battle. Secondly, it was nighttime so I messed around with it in the house and was dry-firing it, which the manual said nothing about being bad. Unfortunately, it jammed after about 4 shots. Something obviously went wrong inside because I heard a pretty bad grinding noise as it locked up. The manual wasn't too big of a help in remedying my particular problem, and I ended up destroying the whole firing mechanism in the process. The nearest Target that has these in stock is about 60 miles away from home (I was in the area at the time), and it's not going to be a fun drive just to take this thing back. I learned my lesson and am replacing it with a Nerf Longstrike instead. I may try my luck again with this, if I can land one for less than the $40 these are currently going for.

no trigger
The gun looks awesome, the only thing I can say bad about it is that there is no trigger the pump is how you shoot it and it is hard to do bad design needs a trigger.

kinda good kinda bad
i did my research on this gun so i was hoping it was gonna be great. i got it out of the box and nothing was broken or loose. i assembled it and it looked awesome. i tested it outside to see if it actually did go 100ft like the box claims, buuuuuut it kinda didnt. then again it was pretty windy outside, but none the less i was disappointed. so i tried it inside from one end of the house to the other-brilliant! accuracy-speed-power-fantastic! still i was kinda hoping to use it for more of an outside thing... oh well.oh yeh, my barrel attachment is slightly (not by much) bent to the right. but thats not toooo bad.overall its not bad :) its kinda like a 50/50 thing-you could get a really good one or a really bad one...
