A lovely book that tells about to respect similarities and differences! Love the illustrations. They are so impressive.

This book is a cute story about a cat. It also talks about similarities and differences (good for comparing and contrasting). The pictures are fun and add to the story. I read this book to my 1st graders, and they really enjoyed it.

Really cute, well-executed story about differences, similarities, and inclusion. Illustrations are wonderful! This has become one of my son's favorites!

Simon is a pet cat who insists, to the disbelief of Lion, Tiger, Puma & friends, that he is a cat. After the big cats share their unique cat-like features, including mane and markings and speed - Simon helps them realize that with swishy tails, shart teeth & claws, and eyes that glow in the dark that he IS a cat. This was a HUGE hit with my elementary students. Clever and thoughtful, this is a great text to teach claim-evidence-reasoning in the library or literacy block in a classroom. I am a big fan of I AM A CAT!
