We've only just put it togetherI want to love it but I feel like we're going to be looking for a replacement.It does come with a smell like everyone else has been talking about but I don't find it too bad it just smells like wood varnish.The instructions were small and somewhat unclearThe quality of the wood seems okay, you do get what you pay for and this was under $100However what I don't like is that a lot of the stuff is crooked, like the hinges for the top of the enclosure- we'll have to see if it interferes with opening and closing itNow what I really don't like is the fact that yes the tray is removable and that's cool but there is about a half an inch gap between the very top of the tray and the bottom of the turtle habitat (I'll include photos)The tray seems quite shallow and for those using anything other than a liner (dirt/sand)You either have to have super shallow which isn't good for digging and burrowing, or you run the risk of the dirt falling out onto your floor, so I hope you guys have hardwood if you get thisThe acrylic windows come covered for protection during shipping which is great, but the cover goes up over the window and gets stuck between the wood and it's really hard to remove

You definitely had to air it out for a week once it was put together, before putting pet in... very strong odor.but definitely better than an aquarium type enclosure.

The concept is nice, but the product is flimsy. Assembly was tricky for one person to handle alone. Parts did not lock together to make assembly easier. Very soft wood. Already looking for alternatives and have only had the habitat for one month.

This product was delivered broken and missing several parts. The quality is absolutely terrible and the stain is not sealed in at all so it gets all over your hands. There’s no way this is safe for an animal.Purchasing this has created a headache for me as I now have to return the large box and find another one for my turtle.
