manticGames, Halo: Flashpoint - The Tactical Miniatures Game (Spartan Edition Starter Set)

This is a re-skin of Deadzone, by Mantic Games, which is one of my favorite games of all time. There are also some new mechanics and quality-of-life upgrades, like the unit cards. These keep you from having to flip through books during play, a very nice improvement. The minis are awesome and the game is easy to learn and fun. I recommend it for anyone interested in tabletop gaming. I’ve spent way more on other games that just don’t measure up to what’s offered here.

Everything about this package is awesome. Great looking preassembled miniatures. Really nice cardboard terrain and playing board, all of which is reversible for a different look. The game itself is easy to learn, because it's based on Mantic's Deadzone ruleset, and makes for great skirmish games. Finally, the game plays like the video game. Respawning, weapons galore, cool special abilities. It's a great package and totally worth the extra money over the Recon edition.

a great game is not that complex and is fun to play

I am loving this game!!! It's a lot of fun. I play it with my brother all the time. It's really easy to learn. I learned how to play by watching Mantics youtube videos. I'm really glad that I got the Spartan edition because it brings way more characters to choose from. I can't wait to get the future expansions once they come out.

Everything Mantic creates is gold. Easy to learn rules and game play. No unnecessary steps to bottle neck fast battle play. The terrain is very versatile and detailed. The miniatures are very detailed. Highly recommend

Quality of the minis are better in subsequent expansions but these are still nice. Nothing wrong with the game but it is based off of dead zone. I believe the rulebook could be better and they have since changed the rules after this printing anyways! Love the halo IP but overall a fairly boring dice roll game.
