I have several of these in our office and they work great. I did have one that stopped powering on and after reaching out to Tongveo I was quickly given a replacement. Great product support.

Updated 12-06-2023 TONGVEO reached out and provided a free replacement and upgrade to their version 1.1 of the Magi Call Speakerphone. GREAT improvement. First and foremost, corrected the intermittent Bluetooth connection to my laptop. Second, sound quality and mic response was also improved. Regarding sound quality, it is now a good BT music speaker, with nice balanced sound and decent low end for the size. Microphone sound quality is improved as well, with same excellent combination of near and far field capabilities as the original, meaning use in a sizable room is possible, as well as next to you on a desk or table. Still gets darn loud if needed as well. With the updated version, is the best of the BT speakerphones I've tested in this year. More extensive use will tell the tale, but in this initial testing, much improved. Original Review I was looking for a combo speaker/mic setup that would work in a sizable classroom. Needed to be loud enough for students to hear guest speakers on Zoom, and have good voice pickup from up to 15 feet away for Q&A. Tested other options from Anker, Nexigo, and this model from Tongveo was the only one to meet the loudness and far voice pickup requirements. HOWEVER, the BT connection to my (very recent) laptop would constantly disconnect, then reconnect, disrupting the sessions. Returned, and bought the second generation model from Tongveo. So far, so good, though still early. Reco: invest in the newer unit.

Excellent sound quality even in a very large conference room. Great value. Easy to use and connect via bluetooth. Compact size. When the device suddenly quit working after 10 months, the vendor sent out a new one with some additional instructions for use. Yes, it was a hassle to go through the process...finding the past order, finding the phone number to amazon customer service, etc. but, within a few days I had the new device in hand. Hopefully, this will not happen again or I would have to lower my rating.

This is a great speaker. I can hear loud and clear. They can hear me loud and clear. It has easy to use butting for adjustments. I can place in USB for my laptop or use as Bluetooth for my phone. Recommend!

I was disappointed with these speakers. They were difficult to configure, and even with several of us (including some with technical backgrounds) working on it, we still couldn’t get them to function properly for our Zoom meetings. We could hear others just fine, but they could not hear us. After spending too much time troubleshooting, we gave up and went back to our old setup using the computer’s built-in speaker and mic. One positive is that the speakers arrived almost fully charged right out of the box, but unfortunately, they didn’t meet our needs. We’ll be looking for another solution.

Excellent product. Simple set up and works great. Customer service is outstanding. Speaker stopped turning on after a year. I emailed the customer support team and had a new speaker delivered in 3 days at no cost. The 3 year warranty is a great bonus.

Now the single power pac can go into with all the other unneeded items.

I'm not a fan of speakerphones, and prefer using a Bluetooth headset when I'm on a video call, but there are numerous situations where a speakerphone is perfect, and a device like this really enhances the audio quality of the conversation. One thing I like about this speakerphone is the ability to connect either via Bluetooth or USB. We've set it up on my wife's mobile phone, but it should work as a plug-and-play device on Windows. The form factor of this speakerphone is slim, but it does take up some desk space due to the diameter. I'm not sure if this design helps it to pick up in all directions, but I can only assume that it does. There are controls on the front, as well as lights indicating the status of the device. This can be used wirelessly up to around 4-6h, which makes it great for portability, but a more permanent USB-connected setup is also an option. The voice and overall sound quality is miles ahead of what most smartphones can do, and probably better than most webcam setups, too. While we don't use this in a noisy environment, the noise cancellation does seem to work quite well, at least when compared to traditional speakerphone systems. At $139, it's not the cheapest, but also not the most expensive speakerphone system I've used. It's still a good value.

Got this conference speaker for conference meetings at my small office. It performs very well when placed on a round office table with 4 to 5 people sitting around it, but struggles a bit with picking up voices when the same number of people are sitting around a long rectangular table in another meeting room. ● The speaker sounds good with a slightly artificial bass tone (i.e. not particularly natural); although, it does not interfere with the ability to decipher the spoken words of speakers from the other end of the line. ● The device’s voice transmission to the other end also sounds very good; it’s equivalent to speaking through a headset attached close to the speaker’s head. ● The device also does a very good job at eliminating background noise; even in a meeting room in which you can hear a person speaking next door, the noise cancellation worked very well to eliminate that from the ambient background. ● However, the mic did seem to have some problem picking up a person more than 8-ft away with his natural voice level (had to elevate his voice for the device to pick up better). ● The device’s automatic voice prompt became quite annoying, especially when the Bluetooth disconnect & reconnects. There’s no option to disable it or reduce the verbosity of the prompts.

This speakerphone looks very nice and is easy to set up with lit function buttons. The rechargeable aspect is great for using it on the go. The sound is very clear both ways when using it and so far, I have no complaints of it being able to pick up voices. The one thing that does not seem to work is the speaker mute option when using it wired. Very versatile for using both in the office and when travelling. It would have been nice to have a zippered case for it for travel use.

I was looking for a while to purchase something for my work zoom meetings as I am on meetings on a regular basis at work. I was very please with how seamless the setup took. This device connects easily to my laptop without any software to be installed. The zoom application recognizes the device and it’s ready to use instantly. Very good product!
