I've put together many of these styles of kits, and this one has been exceptionally enjoyable. To me as an experienced builder of these kits, I appreciated the well-thought out plywood sheets, good instructions, and that this kit has especially well-fitting pieces compared to many other similar types of kits from other manufacturers. This one is especially eye-catching due to the use of colored woods which give it a really nice pop of color compared to most other kits like this that are just plain wood colored. 100% would buy again!Though due to the small pieces and sometimes-delicate assembly, this kit is best for someone at least teenage or older who is willing to take the time to build it slowly and enjoy the construction process and not just the end kit.

This is the best craft plywood kit I have built, to date!A few notes:1. It would be better for 17+ year olds. The kit has a lot of delicate parts.2. Take care with the brass-colored stickers. Otherwise, they will roll up or corkscrew. It is not possible to pull them apart if they stick together. On the plus side, it is very easy to make new strips out of the spare sticker sheet.

Pleased with final result but a few criticisms: 1. Part A30 that connects the wheels is very fragile - 2 broke - and there are no spares. Super glue to the rescue! 2. The G self-adhesive parts tend to curl up when removed from their backing and unraveling them is difficult without them beaking. 3. The H2 parts for sticking other pieces to the model are virtually impossible to separate from their protective backing. It's less stressful, quicker and easier to throw them away and use glue instead.

After some attempts of 2 other wooden puzzles with failure due to quality I am very happy with this product. My granddaughter was broken hearted from the last 2 puzzles from different companies. Pieces that didn’t fit well together at all. Couldn’t complete either one. She wanted to give this one a try after watching me put together a book nook from this company. Success! It went together as it should and was a fun project to make up for the last 2. Thank you for a quality puzzle. She is proudly displaying this one!

Having a very hard time getting the pieces to fit together properly, I have broken more than one piece and am becoming discouraged. I am unsure at this point if it is even salvageable. Very disappointing, as I love this company and have purchased several other products and have been extremely happy with them, so I am wondering if I may be the issue here.

This was a birthday gift for my brother, who LOVES anything and everything about trains! He loved putting the train together and says it was much fun, and he had a great time, and it looks amazing.
