30301 Watering Can, 2-Gallon, Hunter Green

This is a great watering can for watering plants on my porch. It is a good size - not too heavy, yet large enough to do quite a few plants. It is made well and has a good balance. The spout produces a nice "rain like" effect. I would recommend it.

Ordered yesterday and received today - none too soon with the drought we are having in NJ! I just used it. Here are my immediate thoughts:PROsturdy and well designed yet inexpensiveholds 2 gallons - it's heavy but it's mostly water weight - the plastic "can" is extremely lighttwo handles - nice touchCON: the water gets used up FAST. I have a one-gallon plastic "can" which has a slimmer spout and a smaller, more "delicate" rose (smaller holes, less holes). I feel like I have much better control with the 1-gallon, and in fact, I feel like the water lasts a lot longer. I figured the extra weight of the 2-gallon would be balanced by not having to constantly refill. However, I found myself refilling this MORE OFTEN than my 1-gallon. I let my large established plants fend for themselves - I'm mainly watering seedlings and transplants that need TLC - even with a rose, the spray feels forceful and some of the seedlings bent from the force. Perhaps I just need to learn to control this, or should save for bigger plants.

I ordered 2 of these. Our garden hose is having some issues, and it will not be fixed for a couple of weeks, so as a desperate attempt to save my garden, I decided to purchase a few watering cans. This was a great purchase! I have seen some reviews saying things about the "spout" leaking, I fixed that problem with a little bit of plumber's tape. It was not a horrible leak in the first place but if you over tighten the lid, it might cause that issue. However, when you weight the price of a roll of plumber's tape with some of the higher priced watering cans, it is a no-brainer. I will be purchasing several more of these cans, I am super happy with them. SO HUGE! 2-ways to hold the can, since it is quite heavy with 2-gallons of water inside. I have arthritis and have to hold them with both hands to use them. I honestly have zero complaints. You will not find a better price for this size container, I looked everywhere! Highly recommend! 10 out of 10

Does the job. I am on a weight restriction so it is just the right size so I can water my flowers and garden. Easy to carry and pour with two different handles.

Nice size. Leaks a bit though.

Very sturdy. I've had problems with the sprinkler heads breaking off of previous large watering cans. The construction of this one eliminates that weakness. It should last a long time.

This watering can works great. It arrived to me with the "shower" part missing, but the seller took care of it and sent a new one. Great customer service as well.
