Twinlab Quercetin Plus C Capsules, 120 Count

This supplement has been extremely helpful and decreasing my pruritus. Approximately 2 months ago I started developing a number of strange symptoms (facial flushing and occasional puffiness around my eyes, hives, and extremely itchy skin). I have seen 3 doctors and they have tried me on a variety of medications (allegra, ranitidine, singulair, benadryl, elavil, claritin, and zyrtec). I'm not sure how much the meds helped, maybe a little. But I really notice the difference with the Quercetin +C in how itchy I feel. Which BTW was my most uncomfortable symptom.The last allergist I saw said my disorder is related to mast cell activation that can be brought on by a number of factors, but can be related in some cases to the hormone fluctuations with perimenopause in susceptible individuals. It causes very high levels of histamine to be circulating in the body which leads to my above symptoms.Prior to starting the supplement the facial flushing and swelling had already subsided through dietary restrictions of certain foods that would cause the reaction in me. Most notably citrus fruits, tomatoes, and vitamin d supplements (not sure why I reacted to the supplement). This wasn't an allergy, it just caused in increase release of histamine and face would flush.I still have some hives and some mild to moderate itchiness (depending on my diet, I'm now on a low histamine diet). This arrived fast and was very well packaged. Being a full time student with children of my own, having this supplement with an extra boost of vitamin C helps me fight off infections and stay healthy. While everyone around me is down with the flu Im still up and running, because honestly, who has time to be sick?!

I take Quercetin-C nearly everyday with L-Lysine to aid in the balance of my body's amino acids. American diets are too high in L-Arginine so this is the best way for me to stay off prescription drugs. Quercetin helps increase the absorption of Vitamin C.

I have seen many benefits from this product. Mostly cognitive. Cleared up brain fog and helped provide clarity. We will see if the benefits continue long term but so far so good.
