If you are rewiring your connections and need to get it done professionally, then you definitely need this tool. I have bought tools from the hobby shop only to find that it can't crimp the ends correctly, but with this tool the crimps are nice and strong keeping the connection tight without soldering. I use it to shorten my servo leads for my high end RC cars.

Overall good for the money. Makes good crimps, a lot easier and more secure then trying to do it with pliers. My really only complaint is the handles are very slippery. Would be nice if they had some sort of grip to them.

making servo extensions was easy with this, although can be used for several other plug sizes such as Jst XH and larger.

The jaw that crimps the wire side is way too wide for PH connectors to fit correctly in the tool. You either mis-crimp the insulation or crush the connector. Someone mentioned this in the Questions section, so not sure why others haven't brought this up in reviews. Going back.

The crimping tool is excellent. However, though the plug housing is the correct size, the contacts do not seem to be the correct ones for the plug. There is no locking tang on the contact to hold it in the plug and they just fall out.

as the title says, it is great for crimping, but it makes it difficult with smaller crimps, as it is fairly heavy, and makes it strange to try and put the crimp in there.

Needed to crimp electrical ends on wires. This did the job.

Seems ok. The jaws bind a little sometimes, like it's slightly out of align or just awkward to close.. But it worked.
