People can say what they want, but this protector table mat is nice and thick, made very well, and will protect my wooden table. Any thicker and it would be bulky! I highly recommend this pad!

We just purchased a formal dining room table with beautiful inlay. I really didn't want to buy an expensive, custom pad, though. (Ninety percent of the time, I want to see that wood!) But meals mean hot, heavy serving dishes, dropped folks and knives, and overturned glasses--don't they? So we needed a pad...but an inexpensive one that would work. This one does. It has a very thin, vinyl top-coat in a matte finish that is textured to resemble woven cloth. The underside is a thick, felt-like layer. (The felt on mine measures just over 1/16" and seems extremely dense and "solid.") This pad cushions with its density--not with quilting, etc. That means a heavy, slip-resistant, even, thick layer of protection that won't encourage stemware to topple, etc. After reading a lot of reviews for other pads on Amazon, this seemed to be the type of pad people had seen in the past and were trying to buy. In the size I ordered, it weighs almost five pounds--compared to three pounds or less for a number of similarly price pads in the same size on the site. The pad came folded neatly, which meant some creases and minor folds when I put it on our table. But a low-setting iron on the felt side of the pad removed those enough to be invisible under my tablecloth.(I think I'll keep it stored "rolled" in the future, though.) For an off-the-shelf pad at a fair price, this is a great choice.

I have two large dining room tables that I built specifically to fit our space, so finding a pre-made pad to fit is impossible. The cut-to-fit intention of this product was exactly what I needed. I had enough to cover both custom tables, plus enough to use as a cover on a smaller kitchen table as well. I use the pads all the time and they are very effective at controlling spills and definitely product the surface of the table from nicks and dings. The padding was a bit thinner than I expected, but again, it works. The coated side of the pad must be placed facing upward to protect against spillage. As other reviewers have mentioned, it takes some effort to get the creases out of the material. If you remove the pad from your table, make sure to roll it up rather than folding to prevent creasing. Someone recommended using a cool iron to help with the creases... I chose to let the pad flatten naturally, as I did not want to run the risk of damaging the waterproof coating. I did find it somewhat difficult to cut the pad to fit. It cuts fine with some sharp scissors, but cutting it straight can be challenging due to the density of the pad, or at least it was for me. I definitely recommend measuring and marking the pad to the appropriate size, then cutting on the lines with very sharp scissors.

Serves its purpose..... to protect my table. Yes, it was delivered in a package and therefore has wrinkles. I managed to hide the wrinkles on the pad when I placed the tablecloth over the pad. It fit perfectly too, hanging over the sides a little. The wrinkles have relaxed over time. I recommend it!

Table cover was as expected. Good weight, quality and price.

i like it, its not too thick, and its not quilted, so you really cant see that there is anything under the table cloth.

Protecting our new table is important to me and this pad will do it. It will stop scratches and scarring. It looks great on its own and leaves a smooth surface under a tablecloth.

Really good quality table protector. It was bumpy with creases, but after being in the table for a couple of weeks it flattened out and it’s nice and thick I recommend

El mantel para mesa, llegó antes de la fecha de entrega, muy rápido el servicio. Pero me desepcionó el acabado, se ve como si hubieran cortado el mantel, tanto por tanto y listo, no trae alguna costura en la orilla para evitar deshilar o algo mas. Tambien me cobraron mas por la importación del prodcuto algo que veo muy mal ya que en ninguna parte dice cuanto te van a cobrar por mandartelo, solo te llega el cargo a la tarjeta.
