Just received the Gateron keycap/switch puller, and I would NOT recommend it [if your switch/plate has a low tolerance] (tight fit). I tried pulling a few switches as a test run, and due to some switches having low tolerances, I unfortunately damaged the front clip where the switch puller sits. Some people claim that it is time efficient compared to the classic switch puller, but I found it a bit tedious and more fiddly compared to the normal switch puller. If your plate or switch has high tolerance (loose fit), I would recommend this product. Otherwise, just stick to the normal/manual version.

1000% worth the price here. After using this one time to swap switches and caps on a full size keyboard, this thing has paid for itself in convenience. I was able to remove both switches and caps with one hand. I really think they undersell how much easier this is than the normal switch pullers. The cap remover is super easy to use and you're able to quickly remove caps by popping it on and pulling straight up. The caps sit in place in the tool after removal. This lets you just slide out the cap (i used my middle finger on the hand holding it) and get the next one quickly. Normal cap removers tend to let you take 3 off at a time and you have to almost detangle the caps out of the wire. The only complaint here is that due to the design, it doesn't fit in those tight spots easily (escape key on some boards) and it isn't good for removing stabilized keys so you'd still need a normal tool for both of those situations. The switch remover is star of the show. You line up the switch remover with the switch, press straight down, lift straight up, and press the button to release the switch. This thing is spring loaded so it'll practically shoot the switch out. Again, you can use this thing with just one hand. The only thing to note is you need to properly line up with the switch or the hooks won't grab it right. I've only used it for one board so far but its absolutely worth it for hot swappable boards. I cannot recommend it enough especially considering "normal" switch removers are not all that cheaper.

Wer regelmäßig an seiner Tastatur arbeitet und ein einfaches hochwertiges Tool für den gelegentlichen Switch- oder Keycap-Wechsel sucht, wird mit dem GATERON Twins Puller absolut zufrieden sein. Klare Kaufempfehlung! Habe zwar noch einen Keycappuller mit Metallkabel von Glorious der zwar seinen Zweck erfüllt, aber der Gateron ist um Welten besser. Die Keycaps und die Switches lassen sich super easy und schnell entfernen, somit kann man auch mal auf die Schnelle sein Setup anpassen. Update nach knapp einem Monat Nutzung: Bis gestern war ich wirklich zufrieden – leider muss ich meine Bewertung jetzt um 2 Sterne senken. Beim Herausziehen eines Switches ist der Switch-Puller aus der Halterung gerissen und funktioniert seitdem nicht mehr. Zusätzlich sind beim Keycap-Puller gelegentlich die länglichen Plastikhalter herausgerutscht, sodass der Keycap noch fest auf dem Switch saß, während die Laschen ins Keyboard gefallen sind. Zwar lassen sich diese relativ leicht wieder in die ursprüngliche Halterung einsetzen, aber das sollte bei einem Qualitätsprodukt eigentlich nicht passieren. Meine anfänglich euphorische Stimmung ist dadurch leider deutlich gesunken – besonders nach so kurzer Nutzungsdauer.
