I am changing my review. I have changed my mind about this! I have begun to use it more regularly for different parts of the female cycle. It helps with the luteal phase and also the menstrual phase. I was at first only using it during the latter phase I mentioned, and I was turned off by the increase in heaviness of flow (have to be honest, sorry if too graphic, but let's be real, ladies). It seemed counter to what anyone would want. But it did result in a shorter period! It also helps to take during the luteal phase to help with hormone stabilization and preventing or lowering PMS. Which is great, too. Females also have to suffer differences in how some medications work due to hormone changes. I have read testimony from several women about this problem. I had this problem. This was why I originally got it. When red maca is taken at the right phase of the cycle, I found it helps prevent these issues or at least lessens them. In fact, I first heard about red maca from another female with the same problem and said red maca solved her problems. How could I not try it? I've experimented with how much to take and for how many days. It seems maca can cause some sleep issues if taken late in the day. So rather than take it 3 times a day as per the labelz I take half of a full day's recommended dose all in the morning. I also take shilajit and moringa which combined with red maca have really helped stabilize my hormonal problems. Pain meds cause amenorrhea for me unless I take these supplements, and rather than random cycle lengths, it is now regular like clockwork, as I log them all on my Fitbit app! So I can visually have ways to verify these are working for me.

I really like this maca that the company sells. The taste is fine. It smells earthy but once you have it in your mouth, you can’t really taste it. I recommend best brand.

This is helping with my hot flashes but not as good as a liquid tincture I buy. I’ve purchased this brand as a back up when the tincture doesn’t arrive on time and it does ok but not as well as the tincture.

This stuff is good!! If you’re not good at swallowing larger pills, this product may not be for you. However, you start to notice the effects of this within about a week or so! Just be sure to take 2 pills twice a day.

The flavor hit my nose as soon as I opened the bag and the maca powder tasted very fresh and flavorful. I found it really yummy mixed in with my coffee. So good I ended up licking little maca powder chunks off of my spoon. :)

Definitely did everything I wanted it to do, made me gain weight (10 pounds in one month) which I had been struggling to do for a super long time. Still waiting to see whether or not it’ll help me become pregnant because that’s something I’m hoping for also but it’s something I will continue to purchase! If it’s something your interested in I’d say definitely give it a try!
