Received my order today to add to a bioactive crested gecko tank. I didn't see a single dead one and all were very active and ready to go when I released them into the enclosure. Order came with a cute pocket pet habitat as a free gift as well as detailed instructions. Highly recommend this if you want an interesting pet or for use in bioactive terrariums like mine!

My lil guys are thriving in my classroom terrarium. I teach first grade, and we had a unit on terrariums. Kids wanted to bring in bugs, I said sure, why not? We couldn't really keep wild-caught crickets or rolly pollies going.During the winter, the kids were bummed we still didn't have any bugs. I researched and decided to give these little guys a shot. First, the kids love seeing them. They're easier to spot in the terrarium than anything else we've had. It's been several months and they've reproduced, so I assume they're happy and healthy. They seem to be thriving. The kids love the orange coloring with transparent qualities.The adults are a good size but don't get terribly big. Good for my small terrarium. I added these and a few springtails. No idea how the springtails are doing, but my terrarium stays clean and the plants are growing well.These guys are FAST. I'm used to the big gray "tanks" that are easy to catch outside and love to roll up. I've never seen an orange one roll. Their instinct is to bolt. I've been worried about losing one a couple of times. I know it wouldn't have a good time in the school alone.The kids love the little pocket pet container. They get it as a reward for going above and beyond and they're quieter when our pocket pet is put. Plus, these helped them understand decomposers really well in food web/life cycles- that's usually the hardest to teach.We love our orange bugs! Thank you!

Originally I was a bit nervous about ordering live insects from Amazon but after seeing the reviews, I took the chance and it was so worth it!! They came earlier than expected, ordered as a clean up crew for my leopard gecko tank and they were all very active. It's somewhat "common" to find a few dead but to my surprise they were all alive, definitely worth the price and will be ordering again for an isopod terrarium. The instructions that are included are helpful for new owners, and I love the feeder post included because I had some worries about how to feed them after ordering. Overall great.

this was my first time ever buying something like this. I just got my first ever pacman frog and wanted to make her enclosure bio active. everything in this package was amazing, from the way it was packed to the way the lid even had my name on it!!! i would definitely purchase again.

All the isopods were alive and moving. As for the container with the eggs, the tiny babies were hatched and moving also. The free pocket pet container is pretty neat and I look forward to learning how to use it!
