really cool retro game
It’s pretty impressive. It has thousand playable games. All games are smooth. And the screen is good too. I played about 4 hours so far it still has more than half battery. And The backlight of is stunning. It’s slim and well fit in my packet. I’m still trying to figure out how to load my own games cause I has two 64gb tf cards. Pretty good stuff and even a great gift for kids.

Surprised
This is actually pretty damn. Some of the driving games aren’t working, but there are sooo many good games to play It doesn’t matter..

With Some Minor Tweaks
I had a Miyoo mini plus, but it felt like it was too small to be comfortable in my hands, so I gave it to my son. Picked this up, installed custom firmware (Knulli), loaded my own files, and it is outstanding. Great size, better battery and screen than the Miyoo. Absolutely no complaints.

Great for retro 3D gaming
While I was researching the market for these, I was frustrated because there a different sets of reviews for each vendor who is selling these on Amazon. I'm usually uncomfortable with devices that have low numbers of reviews. All of these things made me conclude that the Anbernic devices are low quality. Then I did a deep dive on YouTube. The wide adoption of raspberry pi for embedded computing needs has resulted in commoditized game boys with mature, quality, open source feature sets, and this realization couldn't make me happier. Other reviews are going to say stay away unless you know how to tinker with emulator and linux stuff. I say if you don't know how to look up and follow YouTube tutorials, then you are failing at life. Seriously, this unit is great for first generation 3D gaming and I'm proud to say that I'm going to spend lots of free time using it.

If you’re thinking about it, get this one. Get the cube xx. Scratched my retro itch
Don’t get a game boy. Get this instead. Super happy. Plays a bunch of stuff and I’ve only scratched the surface

A VERY good product with a few flaws
My thoughts on this could be summarized by the reviews and guides done by Retro Games Corp. To put it simply: This is a fantastic product with very little set up needed. However the stock Operating Software leaves a bit to be desired and the included games are, not entirely, but mostly bloat garbage. There are no Nintendo console games to be found here, but the software is present to run them. Look up a Set Up guide, and have your Micro SD Card reader ready to load up your own ROMs.

Buy it
Bought this after the RG40xx as I wanted the slightly different screen ratio (IIRC) and better ergonomics. Like the 40, the joysticks are not great for analog but everything else is great, and a can't lose at its price point.
