Licwshi Outdoor Solar Light Upgraded IP65 Waterproof Solar Spotlight 46 LEDs 4 Patterns with Motion Sensor 120° Solar Outdoor Light for Garden Outdoor

I bought four of these lights as replacements for 120 W halogen spotlights mounted about 5 m above ground level. These had a lumen output of around 2000, so I was interested to see how the 1100 lm solar lights would perform. They are mounted lower, about 3 m above ground level. And of course there are no bulbs to change, and no cables needed.The lights produce a decent semicircle of about 10 m in radius, and a bit dimmer further out. I find the activity time a bit short, as they are constantly switching on and off when the dogs and I are out in the garden after dark. The light only stays on for about 10 seconds after the last movement. I don’t particularly want the dim light to stay on, so I have them set on movement detection and then switch off (mode 2). It might be helpful on a future version, to have a duration adjustment like the halogen or LED mains floodlights have. I would prefer the light to stay on for about 30 seconds or so after triggering.They are sensitive enough but not over-sensitive, and detect people, dogs and a local fox which sometimes visits. This is a satisfactory level of triggering. The darkness level for beginning of activation is fairly dark, so they don’t come on until twilight. Again, this is satisfactory.They have all remained well charged and brightly lit when needed, even the one on the north wall which doesn’t get any direct sun. I’ll be interested to see how they do in the winter when the days are only about seven hours long and sun doesn’t get above 13° at noon.Update February 14: they have continued to work as above, even in the short days and low sun of midwinter.

Seems to be a fairly well made item. Was initially charged for 4 hours but the light stayed on all night and the react light detects about 15 feet away and is very bright. Easy to install, does everything described in advert, happy with purchase but not sure how long it will last, time will tell. Would recommend.

Having bought this after reading many reviews in my original review of this product I only gave it a 3 star rating for 2 reasons, the price paid and the condition of the light unit when it arrivedIt was packed and working correctly but there was something loose inside the unit, I did think about returning the unit but as it was working ok just sending it back because there was a rattle seemed a bit trival and time consuming.It turned out to be 2 overtightened screws that held the battery holder in place,I fixed it myself by using silicone to hold the battery holder back in place and seal around the screws that were just held there with the broken plastic ringi have since purchased another 2 units as indeed althought expensive they are a decent light and work better than most other makes. I have now given these units a 4 star rating as they are reliable but still think just a bit expensive.I did try a radar type sensor but found this sort to sensitive for my use and reverted back to the normal type sensor which again are working fineUpdate July 2019 this light unit is still working great has outlasted the 30 LED other make lights that have now all broken just after the 12 month warranty so indeed they are good but still a bit expensive , but good news have found same units sold by another seller that are exactly the same for £29.99 and I'm now using those

Really easy to install, product was smaller than I imagined, which was good. Great motion detection and brightness as it lights up most of my rear garden. I've only used it as a security light so can't comment on the other functions, decent build quality and would recommend.

Very impressed with this product. It feels solid and well built and is very bright. The motion sensor works a treat and it makes it much safer walking down the side of my house at night time. The instructions for changing between modes are not very clear but I would definitely recommend it.

When I purchased this lights, I was not sure what to expect. I am delighted with them and use them to light up the front drive. I am so impressed. The light is bright, sensor is very quick to react and they remain turned on for a good period of time. I would recommend to anyone who does not want to wire lights into their home and pay for electricity.

Bought 2 of these lights, great light from them ideal for what i wanted.But after 2 months one stopped working. i reported to Amazon and i mustsay they were very helpful and refunded me for the product.Well done amazon just a great company to deal with.

UPDATE JAN 2021- This solar light failed after 15 months. As their was an 18 month warranty I e mailed Licwshi. After a couple chase up mails they responded in Nov 2020 and said they would send a replacement. I sent the Amazon ref no and address and telephone no as requested. I have e mailed them every 2 weeks since and no response. To date no replacement received which is a great disappointment as I thought that Licwshi were an honourable company.The frustrating thing is that the first one I bought in black alloy still performs well.ORIGINAL POST -Second of these I bought as they are useful where mains electric is not available. Powerful light once the sensor has been triggered.
