Presto 06308 Dehydrator Fruit Roll Sheets, 2 Pack

Easy to use and clean. Works well for making fruit leather.

Seems good quality. Used it in my dehydrator for about 3 days now. I was able to peel the fruit leather off very easily each time. I have an old "Waring" brand and in order for it to fit I had to cut out part of the middle hole. As you can see in the photo, some of the fruit spilled into the middle because the rim was much lower but it still worked and isn't hard to clean. I used a precision knife tool to cut and it wasn't hard, not sure how easy it would have been with scissors but it probably would have been safer. The fruit leather was much more glossy (almost glass looking) on the bottom compared to my original ones but I didn't notice a difference in taste. I got them as an "add on" so for me they were worth $5 for the pair. The "Presto" brand is on the left in the pic and the "Waring" brand is on the right.

Made some fruit leather from grapes. Was not impressed but was no fault of this product.

I didn’t care for upon receipt of products 2 sets one was bad stained brown and dirty with spots . Other set is good . Size is good for the presto dehydrator

Fits the Presto Dehydro unit perfectly, of course. They are made of a thin yet sturdy plastic. The inner and outer edges are raised to keep contents from dripping off the edges. I've made a few batches of potato chips using these sheets, and the chips lift off the plastic. They wash easily and nest for storage. I have not made fruit rollups yet, but I imagine they would work just as well.To make potato chips, dice and boil potatoes until cooked. Mash slightly and spoon into a food processor/blender. Add 1 tablespoon of oil per 2 potatoes. Add just enough water for processing. Blend until smooth, thick and creamy, like wallpaper paste. Season to taste with powdered herbs and salt and blend. Use a spoon to spread the potato paste thinly and evenly directly on the fruit roll plastic sheets, filling in any holes. Stack sheets on racks, load onto Dehydro base, cover and plug unit in. After 5-6 hours, the potato "circle" will lift at the edges. Carefully remove the circle from the sheet and flip it over. Continue drying to another 4-6 hours until crisp. Drying time will vary depending on the thickness of the paste on the sheet. Thin chips are easier to chew and super crispy.

These are so fun and easy to use! They sit right on top of the dehydrator baskets and you can make fruit leather! I used 1.5 cups of premade organic applesauce and blended it with a half of a peach (steamed to make soft) and 3 strawberries then put in my well greased ring. I dehydrated it for about 6-7 hours until it was still tacky but didn’t leave an indent when touched. I let it cool for about an hour then placed on wax paper and rolled up then cut into 1 inch pieces to make healthy fruit by the foot! Both of my kids ages 5 years and 1.5 years love them! Great snack! Oh and do not put in the dishwasher! Hand wash those rings!

Throw some fruit in a blender, (optionally add sugar) puree until chunks are gone, very lightly oil one of these sheets, pour mixture on top and turn the machine on. THATS IT!i've made quite a few fruit leathers with these now and they all come out good. I batch prepared a bit of pineapple-apple puree and took it with me on a trip, it was great. doesn't spoil anytime soon, satiates and tastes great.I found that if i make..........a little more puree than recommended, they come out almost cakey, very thick and very satisfying for a chew. If i make either a recommended amount or slightly less and dry it out for longer than i should, it makes fruit chips! satisfying for crunch cravings!I really enjoy it, and they're ridiculously easy to clean. If you rubbed on oil before making the fruit leather, it's probably 90% clean already and just needs a warm water hose-down. If you forgot, you may have some sticky leftovers.........which are also very easily hosed down with warm water, but this time you may need to rub it a bit with the soft side of a sponge.No transfer of plastic flavor or anything. it just tastes like delicious fruit.

I was thrilled to find these sheets that fit in my old Magic Chef dehydrator. I had tried some from a friend's dehydrator that did not fit; they were too large. I made plum fruit leathers and they turned out wonderfully with these sheets. They have an edge on them so your liquid is not going to run off when you pour the pulp on the sheets. I bought two sets so I received a total of four sheets and they all worked well at the same time in my dehydrator. Definitely a great investment. Now I can make healthy goodies for my grandchildren.
