One of the many gifts given to me by two and a half years of chemotherapy was the sudden and unexplained growth of hair on a part of my back that I cannot reach - another was to make my legs totally bald. There's just enough hair in that patch on my back to make it annoying and itchy, so this product is a godsend!

After 10 years my original Mangroomer is wearing out. I just received the new one today and I am highly disappointed in the quality of this product. First the battery latch is super sensitive and the pack fell out when I opened the box. That was the least of my problems though… When I went to use it, it wouldnt cut any hair, it would just pull it out—sporadically at that. I wouldn’t recommend this product to anyone. Worst $100 I ever spent.

It works great! I've had a couple of the cheaper models and this one is made with much better quality.

I about gave up on finding a workable back shaver, manual or power, but think I've landed on one that actually works pretty well. Probably since I hit about 50, I've tried to remove the sweater growing on my back. Getting someone to help was ... embarrassing ... and trying various purchased and home made options wasn't working. My first purchased solution was a power back shaver with an similar articulated arm like this one, but a much smaller head and frankly it didn't work. Couldn't cut the hair. I followed with two different tries with curved handle manual shavers which also did a lousy job. I didn't try anything the last couple of years, instead just keeping my shirt on at the beach most of the time, which was better for my skin anyway. But, after being enticed by a Mangroomer ad, I stated looking at the reviews for this back shaver and decided to take a chance. I like the interchangeable power unit and the wide shaving head. I started on the lower "Sensitive Speed" setting, thinking that would help with the heavier coverage. It seemed to work okay at first, which was positive. Hair was falling to the floor, but where I could see, it still didn't seem to be complete removal of all hair. That's when I switched to the "Power Burst" setting and had much better results removing most of my back hair. In spots where I could see it work (shoulders and backs of my upper arms) it worked great. I waited about a week before using again and that is when I really felt that it clean-up my entire back. I have not tried the small head (what for?), but I'm generally very satisfied with this shaver. It does take some practice and multiple passes in most areas, but it does get the job done. I did not experience any issues with hair pulls or skin pinches. I would recommend this shaver!

Definite improvement over prior model...recharging is a bit more involved... but the possibility of using an extra batteryis a big plus.

For the price I paid, I expected a decent product that would make grooming easier. Unfortunately, this product failed to deliver.The machine keeps getting stuck, and the worst part is that it pulls my hair relentlessly. It's not only frustrating but also painful. I've tried to use it multiple times, thinking that maybe I was doing something wrong, but the results are always the same.Given the poor performance and the hassle it's caused me, I would not recommend this product to anyone. I gave it a 2 star because of its nice design, well made product. Blades are terrible or the blade angle design is incorrect. Neither of them provide a close skin shave and using the wide blade feels like its ripping my hair out. These are new blades mind you. After using this, I still needed to shave my back. My back hair grows slowly so this being a Xmas a gift, by the time I figured these issues out I was past my return date. So, wasted money for me.
