Top notch for a great price
Absolutely superb. Battery life is excellent. I've worn it solidly for 7 days and it's just dipped to 60%! It monitors sleep (and rates how well you've slept), does your heart rate, blood oxygen, steps, and you have plenty of watch faces/skins to choose from. Display is lovely a bright with great contrast and clarity. It's nice and sharp. Very comfortable to wear. Set a timer on your phone and both the watch and phone vibrate. Set a timer on the watch and just the watch vibrates. Spotify integrates seamlessly, it's not a standalone app on the watch but you can change the track from your watch while your phone runs Spotify. You can set and save favourite contacts to the watch for easier calling, which is excellent in clarity. It connects seamlessly to the Mi Fitness app, but I do run a Xiaomi phone (Poco) so this was expected. Overall, it's well worth the money. It's feature packed, with excellent build quality, and offers reliable data from it's readings from my experience. A solid purchase for anyone that's after a budget-friendly but feature filled smart watch. Why pay more when this exists?

Great first-time smart watch!
My first-ever smart watch and I’m throughly pleased! It’s got everything I need for now - sleep tracking (including REM sleep), step counter, calories burnt, weather updates, and phone notifications. I can also control the music from my phone using my watch (volume, skip, pause, play). I was worried it about its compatibility with IOS but it’s been fine so far! The watch face is quite large which I’ve gotten used to; it sits comfortably on my wrist. It’s also got Alexa - though I haven’t used this function much, it could prove useful. I keep a protector on the watch to protect the screen. I’ve also added a 3-year warranty for this watch. The battery lasts a long time between charges as it says - even with notifications and normal use.

Xiaomi smartwatch
A good smartwatch for the money. A nice size and clear screen. Has all the usual fit options as well as messages and calling, heart rate, sleep etc. A good battery life. Plenty of free watch faces.

Big and clear, bright, nicely made, great battery life, secure strap.
Here's an interesting thought. If I had written this review the same day I got the item, I would probably have awarded it 5 stars. If I'd written the review a week later, I would have given it 2 stars. Now that I've had the watch for a few weeks, I've decided to give it 4 stars. Why this variation? Read on... First impressions were very positive. The packaging and presentation were good - it looked like a product that cost way more than it's actual price. And on delivery, the battery showed 70% charge - impressive; it meant that I could use it right out of the box. I wasn't quite prepared for the size of the watch. It's....BIG. OK, I'd seen the images online and read various reviews, but once you actually have it on your wrist, it's huge. It was only then that I recalled seeing a message on the Amazon webpage saying that the watch was frequently returned because "...it runs large." I'd no idea what that odd expression meant when I first read it, but once I saw the physical dimensions of the watch, I understood completely. Now, being large can be quite a good thing. At least, that's what I told myself when I started to wear the watch. You can't miss it, it's easy to read, and it certainly stands out. But being large can also be a problem, as I'll explain later. However, I was still quite chuffed with the watch when I first wore it. I opted for the 'Light Gold' version, as I wasn't too keen on the thought of yet another black watch. I would say that the term 'Light Gold' is a complete misnomer. It's not even remotely like a gold colour. The watch is silver, and the strap is off-white. But don't get me wrong - it's still attractive, and I'm glad I opted for this colour. Now, the strap is pretty cool. It's got a clever buckle so that it's almost impossible to accidentally unclasp it (the end of the strap actually tucks UNDER the strap, so that it's inside your wrist). That's good. But it's also a bit of a faff when you want to take it off - when you're washing or having a shower. In fact, if you tighten the watch so that it's a really close fit on your wrist, it's a total nightmare to unclip the buckle. It's hard to explain why this is the case; just believe me when I say that you should NEVER tighten the buckle too much. I've got it so that it's slackish on my wrist - the instructions say you should make sure it's tight, but there's simply no way I'm going to do that - I don't want to have a watch that is permanently bonded to my skin and that's impossible to remove. The display is excellent. It's vibrant and clear and I'm pretty certain it's an OLED display. It's certainly visible in bright daylight. The brightness can be dimmed - there is a way to dim it for night-time use. But to be honest, even at its dimmest, it's still way too bright for night-time. The first four or five nights I wore it, the brightness of it regularly woke me up. By the end of the first week, I was on the point of returning it, especially since it kept lighting up every time I moved my wrist at night. It lit up the bedroom like a searchlight. Of course, I didn't realise that there is a way to link the 'Night Mode' on your phone to the watch, so that it only comes on if you physically tap it. Again, this should have been made much clearer by Xiaomi. Now, there are many alternative watch faces to choose from. There are three in the local memory to begin with, with space for another three to add locally, meaning that you can switch between six faces without having to go through the accompanying app on your phone. Many of these faces are really cool, but many are also pretty samey. Anyway, the default watch face is rather attractive. It's an analogue face that comes in black with smaller dials in a pale blue colour (if you buy the black version of the watch) or a pale yellow background (if you buy the 'Light Gold' version of the watch). That's fair enough. But to be honest, having an analogue watch face with white hands against a pale yellow background is actually very difficult to read. I had mistakenly thought that the blue background would be the one provided - It's not. So I got really annoyed that I couldn't read the analogue watch-face because of the poor contrast - when the white hands lie over the pale yellow dials). I didn't realise that this watch face is EDITABLE, that I could actually switch between colours - I didn't realise that for almost two weeks. Shame - again, this should be made a lot clearer. And here we have another example of why bigger is not necessarily better. The watch faces look great when you see them illustrated online, but in reality, they are so big on the watch that they look clumsy. I had thought that the fine details on the watch face would look sharp and clear. But they're so big that the details look almost clumsy. And to be honest, almost every analogue watch face that you select from the (comprehensive) list that are available, they all look too big; ungainly. The faces would look far better if the watch face had been smaller. I've tried fourteen or fifteen faces, and have duly binned them all as being too blocky; but there's one face - a very minimalist one - that I've settled on, and I'm more than happy with it. But it's taken me time and energy to get this far, and I'm sure that not everyone would have the patience to persevere this much. I'm absolutely certain that a lot of people will have returned this watch because of some of these issues. Moving on...the battery consumption is very good indeed. In fact, I would go as far as to say it's remarkable. By my reckoning, the watch uses about 3% charge per day. That equates to over three weeks use without charging. Bear in mind that I'm rarely using the advanced features of the watch; I'm simply using it as a timepiece, and for that purpose, it's very good indeed. I expect the battery would take quite a hit if you intended to use it for other purposes. I've got it hooked up to my WhatsApp and Messaging apps, and it reads them clearly and easily. I also had it linked to my email account, but I got fed up with the sheer volume of emails that I get every day, so I've removed that fuction. I also use it for sleep monitoring. This is good and clear and I reckon that so far, it's bang on with every summary of my sleep. I'm now quite happy to trust its readings. My only gripe is that, try as I might, I keep getting a message saying that there are watch connection problems. To me, there aren't any problems, but the App keeps telling me to disable something or other in the 'Permissions' section of the App - I've tried for hours to figure out what it means, but have failed miserably. Despite this, everything seems to work OK. I'm beginning to think that the App is simply trying to annoy me... And so, to sum up, this is a good watch. Price-wise, it's amazing value for money. And it offers a wealth of features that most people will seldom use. It's big (VERY), it's clear, and it's economical to use as far as the battery is concerned, and it punches far above its weight as far as looks are concerned. It takes quite a bit of time to fine-tune it so that you get it exactly the way you want, so be prepared for that. If you are at all impatient and want things quickly and simply set up, forget this watch - it will drive you crazy. But underneath all the massive size, this is a gem of a watch that will reward you if you spend time setting it up. I hope you've found this review useful. Thanks!

Brilliant smart watch and cheap.
No need to spend hundreds of pounds on a smart watch when this particular watch does it all, excellent battery life, heart monitor, sleep monitor, pulse and oxygen monitor, steps counter etc etc. Well worth the money I paid for it after a few smart watches fell short and not as good as this one.

Good quality for the money
Good functionality and working conditions. Many different features all working good. Battery lasting for a very long time(so far 3 days without charging). Good screen quality. You can make calls using the watch and you can hear the caller really well and the caller hears you from the watch with high quality too. Really good value for money.

My Sister Absolutely Loves It — Great Battery Life & Smart Features!
I got the Redmi Watch 5 Active for my sister, and she seriously loves it — especially how long the battery lasts and how many features you get for the price. Right from the start, she noticed how bright and clear the 2.0″ display is. It makes it easy to see notifications, steps, heart-rate data, messages and calls at a glance, even outside in daylight. The touchscreen works smooth and responsive, which feels really premium for a watch in this price range. Where this watch really shines is the battery life. On a single charge, it comfortably lasts well over a week and up to around 18 days with typical use — so she barely has to charge it. That’s a huge advantage compared with many smartwatches that need daily charging, and she finds it so convenient. It’s not just about the battery — the fitness and health tracking is solid too. You get: • Heart rate monitoring • SpO₂ (blood oxygen) tracking • Sleep tracking • Over 140 sports modes for workouts • Step counting and calories burned She uses it during workouts, walks and daily steps, and the results always sync smoothly with her phone so she can check stats over time. Bluetooth calls and notifications work really well too — she can see and answer calls or messages right from the watch without having to constantly grab her phone, which is super handy. It also feels comfortable on the wrist, not too bulky, and the overall build looks stylish without feeling cheap. The strap is easy to adjust too, so it fits comfortably all day without irritation. What stood out most: • 🌟 Excellent battery life — lasts ages without charging • 📱 Very clear, smooth display • 💪 Accurate health and activity tracking • 📞 Easy Bluetooth call & message notifications • 🏃♂️ Plenty of fitness modes for all kinds of workouts For the price, this watch packs way more features than I expected, and my sister uses it every day without complaints. If you want a smartwatch that just works well, lasts long, and feels modern, this is highly recommended!
