Great product
I was nervous about the unit leaking, or faulty/sticky valves as some suggest in the review. So I followed one reviewing individual's suggestion to apply teflon tape on all the threads (except the threads on the selenids...) and apply lubricant on all the o rings, and have had no issues with it leaking. In fact, it fitted perfectly, and works like a charm! If I have any issues, I will update.

A little leaky
I just installed this yesterday so please forgive how messy my wiring is, once I know how well this works I will clean up the install a bit more. The application is for greenhouse watering and evaporative cooling. Install was pretty easy, sloppy wiring was also pretty easy. They don’t call this out very clearly but most timers don’t have the same number of common plugs as they do zone control plugs so you will need to jumper the common wires at the header. The instructions could be a little more clear on what turning the solenoid does. For total manual operation you can turn the solenoid counterclockwise. Doing so turns the water on with no timer control. To be clear turning this valve to off puts the valve under the control of the timer and does not turn the valve totally off. The soleniod is where my leak problem was happening. The soleniod screws right in to the valve which is what a pilot operated soleniod would do but there is no shelf inside the valve body to provide a flat surface for the o-ring to seat too. This leaves the start of the threading as an open gap with hopes that the o-ring can stop water flow. Tightening the soleniod all the way only makes the leak go from a drip to many drips per minute. With that said only one of the six are dripping. It seems like some thread tape is solving this but if you were to use the manual mode of twisting the soleniod that would bring the leak right back. Last comment, don’t forget the part in the instructions where it has you manually operate the valve to purge the air before trying auto controls. This helps clear air out of the pilot valve and also the downstream to prevent later water hammer and calm down some of the hum from the soleniod.

Not All Feed Lines are 90° to Header
Aftermarket home repair requires some thought and preparation: Is the box big enough to hold all required valves? Is there sufficient clearance between the feeder lines and the solenoid? Do the feeder lines align with the solenoid output? Some additional digging and adaptation will most likely be required by the DYI installer. My irrigation system was done by a "professional" installer approximately sixteen years ago - and approximately one year before we bought this house. I have had to do feeder and source repairs on this system several times. As shown in the included pictures, not all retrofit headers designs are 90° - some are 180°. At the time of purchase (24 August 2015), 180° Orbit headers __DO NOT__ exist. I could have solved this dilemma with a new - and MUCH larger valve box. However, this concept was abandoned because 1. Additional costs (i.e. the new and bigger box), 2. Additional work (excavating a much larger hole), and 3. The zone 3/4 PVC pipes were too close together and approached the box from opposite directions. Number three alone would have made a valve box replacement impractical. So, I choose NOT to replace the valve box. This is a good design concept and _easy_ to assemble. I like the concept of being able to replace any faulty solenoid _without_ major surgery on __and__ the usual amputation of PVC feeder lines. Consistency of valve type is a big plus (I had a combination of Hunter, RainBird, and Orbit valves within my old system). The foibles are few. One is the size of the footprint (i.e. 5.75D x 12.5H x 9.25L inches): Since a 180° header is not available, accommodations for more than three zones in a single valve box exceeds 13 inches - The Orbit 53212 12-Inch Sprinkler System Rectangular Valve Box , commonly "packaged" by Amazon as an add-on item, is insufficient for more than three zones. There is no ding for this foible, since this is a planning phase issue. Unlike the Orbit 57253 3-Valve Heavy Duty Preassembled Manifold , the two valve unit _DOES_ include a five port “Easy Wire” Organizer. RECOMMENDED with thoughtful planning and some basic irrigation skills

So far so good. No leaks
Replaced my entire system with these valves. So far they work well and there are no leaks.

Makes building a sprinkler manifold so much easier, makes switching out valves easy
If you have built an irrigation/sprinkler manifold in the past, you know what a hassle it is to glue all the pieces together. With this system it is 90% built for you! The only thing that you must do is glue the line in from the main pipe, glue the out pipes and wire it up. It is super easy to build a system from scratch, or as a replacement. I had built my old one 16 years ago, and this was super easy to replace my existing manifold without having to dig up the whole thing. The only thing that I didn't like is that it did not come with an extra swivel adapter, and I had to buy a new one because I didn’t get an elbow glued correctly (you will notice a shinier part in the picture and it has rained on the rest), but it was only $4. But that is one of the great things about this, you can replace 1 part without having to dismantle everything, including changing out valves. I would recommend this to anyone who is having to build or replace their manifold.

Excellent value i think, there was one from another seller on here for 3 bucks cheaper but it did not seem to include all the fittings for 3/4", 1" glued joints or even 3/4" barbed joints. Product was so simple to install, glued and wired it in and it worked right out of the gate. The big box stores the had same product but was $35 more expensive and exactly the same thing. Just installed a few days ago and so far am very happy with the price quality and function of the manifold, worked perfectly for my setup. Oh yeah delivery was astonishingly fast. I received it a week before it said it was back in stock, no prime and 2 business day delivery, I had the irrigation system installed 2 weeks before i thought i would have all the parts even.

This unit was purchased to replace a 30+years old sprinkler system. The design with a lot of hand-tightable unions is great to make it fit correctly to the existing pipe layout. I replaced 3 such systems for a total of 12 zones using a state of the art orbit electronic control station. Now it all works automatically according to weather forecast or manually from my iPhone. A tremendous improvement to what I had installed over 30 years ago.
