FUTURO Comfort Knee with Stabilizers, Medium

I searched at multiple drugstore and wound up returning two types that I bought online. The materials used to make them felt cheap and seemed likely to rip, or wear out in no time.At some point, somewhere I noticed the 3M logo on a Futuro package and opened the box, to check the construction. I was very happy to find a quality product and after wearing one for a couple of days I can honestly state that they work as advertised.I don't wear it everyday, but when my knee acts up I put it on and in no time the pain is gone.

This gives me the knee support I need and in doing so relieves the pain that I otherwise have in the knee. The support's elastic along with its vertical braces really help. I chose a Medium size for my 16-inch knee (measurement around the knee) and the sizing is near-perfect, just a tad tight. I had tried another brand before I bought the Futuro and the other brand's Medium was way too tight. This Futuro is easy to pull on, but just a tad difficult to take off. To keep the support clean, the instructions are for hand washable. I did throw it into the regular machine wash load and it came out fine. But in doing so I may be limiting the life of the support. But so far, no problems. I'm not recommending machine wash - I'm just not up to doing any laundry by hand. If you have a sore knee, try the Futuro - this provides good support.

It was not made properly. I am 5’ 6” and weigh 118 lbs. I bought a medium. It seemed a little tight on the bottom and at the top I had space. It wasn’t even touching the top of leg. So I tried stretching the bottom till I heard some stretching. By the end of the day. My leg got so swollen I had pink liquid draining from the pores. I took it off and it still drained for an hour or so. I still have a patch of pink on my skin at the bottom of my leg. Where it was draining from. When you don’t have a good feeling trust your instincts.It apparently was flawed, the company had to know it. It had to be inspected before sold. So they lowered the price. Not caring that. a person could loose their leg. If it weren’t for my caretaker , I was on my way to go to sleep for the night.

Does fit snug. I ordered medium and I’m 130 lbs. good flexible support.

I ordered this in May 2023, and I was hoping it would have stretched out a bit. I fall right in the middle of the 14-17 inch sizing for medium, and it is painfully tight at the very top and bottom trim line, which I had to cut. The actual support at the knee is great, but the top and bottom tightness has caused lingering pain in my leg.Additional comment: I wore my knee supports at the airport, when I had to walk between terminals. It never occurred to me that the flexible stabilizer had metal, but they DID set off the alarms at security! You have to take them off and let them go through the x-ray and then put them back on. They can't be on your body.

I have a torn meniscus but am not ready for surgery. I have tried a few different braces over the past two years. This is my favorite.I prefer this product over the braces with external metal stays and hinges. The flexible stays in this compression sleeve offer me sufficient support and remind me not to push my knee too far. Like any brace, it feels great to take it off at the end of the day. However, this brace is OK for long periods of wear. It does not irritate my skin, it does not pinch, and it does not bind. The braces with the external metal stays and hinges become uncomfortable almost immediately.I will definitely order this again in the futur.
